"À SOMBRA DO SUPREMO: A Influência do STF na Agenda do Congresso Nacional" investiga até que ponto o protagonismo judicial está corroendo a legitimidade do debate político e agravando a crise no atual modelo democrático brasileiro. Ele busca responder a essa pergunta por meio de uma análise minuciosa da influência projetada pelo Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF) sobre a agenda legislativa do Congresso Nacional do Brasil. O estudo concentra-se em quatro casos emblemáticos que foram julgados pelo STF e também objetos de projetos de lei em tramitação no Congresso: o sacrifício de animais em ritos religiosos, o sistema de cotas em universidades públicas, a proibição da ideologia de gênero em escolas e o reconhecimento do casamento homoafetivo. Através dessa análise, busca-se identificar as convergências e divergências entre as decisões judiciais e as propostas legislativas correspondentes, com o fim de examinar se o Poder Judiciário, por meio do STF, transcendeu sua função primordial de julgamento e assumiu um papel político, ocupando ou influenciando um espaço tradicionalmente do Legislativo e do Executivo. Em resumo, este livro oferece uma visão crítica e reflexiva sobre a relação entre o STF e o Congresso Nacional, explorando as possíveis implicações do protagonismo judicial na atividade legislativa e examinando como isso afeta o sistema democrático brasileiro.
