The objective of this book is to develop leadership principles from two directions - the scientific and the practical perspective - that are both application-oriented and universally applicable as well as effective and flow into a holistic leadership framework. Both the hermeneutic and the empirical analysis show that the basic principles of holistic, application-oriented, universally applicable and effective leadership can be described with the duality of transactional management and transformational leadership principles, taking into account core traits and alignment with follower needs. These in turn lead to a collection of essential principles of effective leadership known as the "eclectic leadership framework". The essential finding is that the basic principles are complementary and that a clear focus on people and their needs is the most effective way to lead.

"ARE YOU GOING TO SPEND YOUR LEADERSHIP LIFE MAKING YOURSELF GREAT OR ARE YOU GOING TO SPEND IT MAKING OTHERS GREAT?" There is something fundamentally missing in modern leadership. Humility has been replaced with popularity. Selflessness has been replaced with celebrity. Security has been replaced with envy. Leadership is too often seen as a means of achieving greatness. A position that, once attained, affords a person authority, status, and celebrity. This modern leadership paradigm can be seen in businesses, politics, nonprofits, and even churches. The result of this type of leadership is a dysfunctional culture marked by followers who are discouraged, scared, burnt out, plateaued, and desperate for something different. But there is good news! There is a better way to lead. In this book, author Zachary Malito will walk you through the three character qualities and five practices that create the Elevate Paradigm. Through story, practical examples, and clear principles, you will be equipped to apply the Elevate Paradigm in whatever leadership context you find yourself. The Elevate Paradigm is an others-centered approach to leadership that will bring out the best in others, transform culture, and create lasting impact.

An Evidence Based Approach To Authentic Leadership Development written by Tony Fusco and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-01-12 with Psychology categories.

This book presents the first evidence-based approach to Authentic Leadership Development. It is based on a group-coaching format that brings together small groups of leaders to discuss personally significant leadership issues generally not explored in usual leadership development, such as the influence of their personal histories, the impact of their psychological make-up, and the ambitions for their future leadership. The book starts with an overview of the idea of authenticity and its philosophical roots, and explains how this informs the past/present/future group-coaching approach to Authentic Leadership Development. It presents statistical and conceptual evidence of the program’s efficacy and explores how the social processes at work within the group positively impact and develop the leader’s self-concept and the benefits this brings. Importantly, it also details exactly how the leader changes and grows as a result of the group-coaching, and the positive ways in which this benefits their leadership role and the organisations they work in. Finally, it questions the notion of ethics and morals in Authentic Leadership and critically re-appraises the idea of leadership development evaluation. Authentic Leadership Development group-coaching has been shown to develop leaders that are conscious, competent, confident and congruent and as the qualitative analysis presented in the book illustrates, these 4 over-arching categories are made up of 7 further key leadership attributes that are developed, which include an enhanced Strategic Orientation, increased Confidence and Clarity and greater Management Mindfulness, among others. The book also features personal vignettes throughout, which illustrate how individual leaders have effectively applied these newly developed attributes in their leadership roles. An Evidence-based Approach to Authentic Leadership Development represents essential reading for leaders who want to engage in a ‘proven’ form of ALD. It will be of great interest to professionals across a variety of industries who have responsibility to provide robust leadership development programs for their organisations, as well as coaches specialising in executive, business and leadership coaching and those interested in new applications for group coaching.

This book aims to inspire and ignite leadership action that makes a difference for you, your organisation and the world we live in. Its purpose is to clearly state the case for leadership and its importance to all of us at this time. At an organisational level, there is little doubt that real leadership is the engine room of performance. A new paradigm needs to guide our actions and decisions in a constructive, values-driven way. It is one that will empower each of us to take full responsibility and accountability at all levels of organisations, in government, and in the community. Importantly, a new paradigm will create an environment of high levels of commitment and learning. Leadership Without Silver Bullets: A Guide to Exercising Leadership will show you: * a fresh, honest examination of leadership today * why and how the industrial age leadership paradigm continues to dominate today and hinder performance * the type of leadership demanded for the future * an important new emerging paradigm and what you can do in your own organisation * leadership to successfully adapt What people are saying about Leadership Without Silver Bullets: I have had the privilege of seeing the results of Phillip Ralphs work as a leadership coach. The ongoing theme of this book is to work your strengths and crush your leadership paradigm. Breaking your old paradigm allows the "real you" to emerge and your personal productivity to improve. Once you know yourself, you will be positioned to accomplish much more with your life. The goal is to refocus your energy so you can exploit your talents and strengths. The only human being you need to fully understand is yourself! Once you have an excellent picture of yourself, seeing the value in others becomes less challenging. Learning about the "real you" often requires a lifetime. The goal of this book is to demonstrate how you can speed up the process. Once we are clear about our own talents and strengths, we can begin to appreciate the differences in others. Learning to use our own talent frees us to outsource tasks to people with complementary strengths. Business processes can also be tailored to better serve the CEO. This book was written specifically for CEOs and other top executives. It is also an excellent resource for anyone aspiring to hold a top leadership position. The text alone serves as a coaching tool, but an underlying understanding is that a CEO who seriously wants to maximize personal and corporate potential needs to hire an executive coach. Collaboration with a coach provides a CEO with a forum for addressing challenging questions. In the coaching relationship, the first step is for the coach to help the CEO discover and fully employ his or her strengths. When this process is successful, it provides the foundation for a positive shift in performance. The goal is to help the CEO achieve a personal and professional "paradigm shift."

Artificial Intelligence Human Agency And The Educational Leader written by Rosemary Papa and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-12-06 with Education categories.

This book includes contributions by scholars from a variety of disciplines, the dialogue and discourse on how AI (artificial intelligence) development includes and/or excludes pedagogical educational learning theories focused on the learner. A call from Educational Leaders Without Borders (ELWB) was issued to scholars from across the globe who were asked to write a vignette described as an evocative description or account on how education leaders envision education in 2051 and A.I. beyond mere product purchase. These vignettes should engage us in questions as to how the development and use of AI technologies are shaped. As educators who believe education should be established on social justice beliefs and practices, our review of literature shows there are no books addressing the complexities of A.I. development and the role of educators. The futuristic element is unique in its approach to imagine a socially just better world in which to inspire educators. This unique feature encourages creativity in how one addresses the call to imagine a future world and our role as educators in that world.
