Topological Vector Spaces And Their Applications written by V.I. Bogachev and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-05-16 with Mathematics categories.
This book gives a compact exposition of the fundamentals of the theory of locally convex topological vector spaces. Furthermore it contains a survey of the most important results of a more subtle nature, which cannot be regarded as basic, but knowledge which is useful for understanding applications. Finally, the book explores some of such applications connected with differential calculus and measure theory in infinite-dimensional spaces. These applications are a central aspect of the book, which is why it is different from the wide range of existing texts on topological vector spaces. Overall, this book develops differential and integral calculus on infinite-dimensional locally convex spaces by using methods and techniques of the theory of locally convex spaces. The target readership includes mathematicians and physicists whose research is related to infinite-dimensional analysis.

This volume contains proceedings of the conference on Trends in Banach Spaces and Operator Theory, which was devoted to recent advances in theories of Banach spaces and linear operators. Included in the volume are 25 papers, some of which are expository, while others present new results. The articles address the following topics: history of the famous James' theorem on reflexivity, projective tensor products, construction of noncommutative $L p$-spaces via interpolation, Banach spaces with abundance of nontrivial operators, Banach spaces with small spaces of operators, convex geometry of Coxeter-invariant polyhedra, uniqueness of unconditional bases in quasi-Banach spaces, dynamics of cohyponormal operators, and Fourier algebras for locally compact groupoids. The book is suitable for graduate students and research mathematicians interested in Banach spaces and operator theory and their applications.

Approach your problems from the right end It isn't that they can't see the solution. It is and begin with the answers. Then one day, that they can't see the problem. perhaps you will find the final question. G. K. Chesterton. The Scandal of Father 'The Hermit Oad in Crane Feathers' in R. Brown 'The point of a Pin'. van Gulik's The Chinese Maze Murders. Growing specialization and diversification have brought a host of monographs and textbooks on increasingly specialized topics. However, the "tree" of knowledge of mathematics and related fields does not grow only by putting forth new branches. It also happens, quite often in fact, that branches which were thought to be completely disparate are suddenly seen to be related. Further, the kind and level of sophistication of mathematics applied in various sciences has changed drastically in recent years: measure theory is used (non-trivially) in regional and theoretical economics; algebraic geometry interacts with physics; the Minkowsky lemma, coding theory and the structure of water meet one another in packing and covering theory; quantum fields, crystal defects and mathematical programming profit from homotopy theory; Lie algebras are relevant to filtering; and prediction and electrical engineering can use Stein spaces. And in addition to this there are such new emerging subdisciplines as "experimental mathematics", "CFD", "completely integrable systems", "chaos, synergetics and large-scale order", which are almost impossible to fit into the existing classification schemes. They draw upon widely different sections of mathematics.

Introduction To Functional Analysis written by Geraldo Botelho and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-02-26 with Mathematics categories.
This textbook offers an accessible introduction to Functional Analysis, providing a solid foundation for students new to the field. It is designed to support learners with no prior background in the subject and serves as an effective guide for introductory courses, suitable for students in mathematics and other STEM disciplines. The book provides a comprehensive introduction to the essential topics of Functional Analysis across the first seven chapters, with a particular emphasis on normed vector spaces, Banach spaces, and continuous linear operators. It examines the parallels and distinctions between Functional Analysis and Linear Algebra, highlighting the crucial role of continuity in infinite-dimensional spaces and its implications for complex mathematical problems. Later chapters broaden the scope, including advanced topics such as topological vector spaces, techniques in Nonlinear Analysis, and key theorems in theory of Banach spaces. Exercises throughout the book reinforce understanding and allow readers to test their grasp of the material. Designed for students in mathematics and other STEM disciplines, as well as researchers seeking a thorough introduction to Functional Analysis, this book takes a clear and accessible approach. Prerequisites include a strong foundation in analysis in the real line, linear algebra, and basic topology, with helpful references provided for additional consultation.

Vector Lattices And Intergal Operators written by Semën Samsonovich Kutateladze and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Mathematics categories.
The theory of vector lattices, stemming from the mid-thirties, is now at the stage where its main achievements are being summarized. The sweeping changes of the last two decades have changed its image completely. The range of its application was expanded and enriched so as to embrace diverse branches of the theory of functions, geometry of Banach spaces, operator theory, convex analysis, etc. Furthermore, the theory of vector lattices was impregnated with principally new tools and techniques from other sections of mathematics. These circumstances gave rise to a series of mono graphs treating separate aspects of the theory and oriented to specialists. At the same time, the necessity of a book intended for a wider readership, reflecting the modern diretions of research became clear. The present book is meant to be an attempt at implementing this task. Although oriented to readers making their first acquaintance with vector-lattice theory, it is composed so that the main topics dealt with in the book reach the current level of research in the field, which is of interest and import for specialists. The monograph was conceived so as to be divisible into two parts that can be read independently of one another. The first part is mainly Chapter 1, devoted to the so-called Boolean-valued analysis of vector lattices. The term designates the applica tion of the theory of Boolean-valued models by D. Scott, R. Solovay and P.
