Para resolver problemas prácticos se requiere una fundamentación teórica sólida y todo problema de ingeniería es uno de economía. En este libro se profundiza en las respuestas a temas tan cruciales en el Análisis de Sistemas de Potencia tales como: (a) su representación circuital (valores en tanto por uno); (b) los métodos numéricos que se aplican para hallar su respuesta bajo condiciones balanceadas (flujos de potencia); (c) algoritmos eficientes para estudios de corto-circuito y (d) potencia de corto-circuito. Para cada tema se trata en detalle su justificación y derivación y se incluye un ejemplo ilustrativo. Lógicamente es obligada una discusión comparativa de las ventajas e inconvenientes de cada método. Mediante la inclusión de apéndices se busca que sea de interés tanto para los ya iniciados como para los principiantes aunque se sabe que el Análisis de Sistemas de Potencia es una aplicación de la Teoría de Circuitos, los Métodos Numéricos y del Algebra Lineal al estudio del comportamiento de una interconexión de aparatos reales tales como transformadores, sistemas de transmisión y generadores. Se describen inicialmente los métodos clásicos que aunque en desuso enriquecen conceptualmente (es decir, cómo NO se hacen las cosas), y en una segunda etapa los métodos modernos. Por esta razón se incluyen temas como: (i) Formación de la Matriz Admitancia de Nodos y su aplicación a estudios de corto circuito; (ii) Factorización Triangular simple ([A] =[L][D][U]), con estrategia de pivote ([A]=[P][L][U]) e inversa ([A] – 1); (iii) Formación de la Matriz Impedancia de Nodos Dispersa y (iv) Métodos de Vector Disperso.

The effects of human loads on structures are difficult to predict because they depend on the type of activity people are performing. However, models for typical activities such as standing, sitting and jumping have been proposed in the literature. Traditional models represent the human body as a system of lumped masses, dampers and springs arranged in a system with multiple degrees of freedom. Arguably, these models might not fully represent the human body because lumped masses, dampers and springs cannot add energy to the overall system. Controller systems have been widely used in electrical, seismic and other fields of engineering for systems in which setting a specific response is important. Given that the human acts like a controller system, where the feedback affects the response of the system, and the specific use of controllers is becoming common in structural engineering, this research developed a controller model to reproduce the phenomenon of Human-Structure Interaction (HSI).
