Dabei liegt das Hauptaugenmerk auf der Verfolgung der politischen Opposition der Arbeiterbewegung. In der lokalanalytischen Darstellung der Verfolgung und Ausschaltung der politischen Opposition wird nachgewiesen, wie es im Mikrokosmos des Gebietes der Universitätsstadt Marburg, einer Stadt des Geistes mit über 450jähriger wissenschaftlicher Tradition und Aufenthaltsort zahlreicher bedeutender Wissenschaftler sowie im bäuerlich strukturierten Landkreis Marburg, dem nationalsozialistischen Regime innerhalb nur eines knappen halben Jahres gelingen konnte, die in ihrem Sinne „staatsfeindliche“ Arbeiterbewegung, die mit ihren Organisationen, Vereinen, Eigentümern und Zeitungen ein wesentlichen Bestandteil der gesellschaftlichen und politischen Struktur der Weimarer Republik war, in ihren Grundfesten zu zerstören.
