Durante anos, relutei em publicar os meus primeiros versos, mas, de 2011 em diante, relendo-os para mim mesmo e para amigos, senti-me incentivado interiormente para oferecer aos eventuais leitores minhas primeiras criações, que podem os ajudar a entender o meu pendor poético desde os tempos de adolescentia . Sob o título POEMAS DRAMÁTICOS, agrupei meus primeiros versos, o título, afetado, foi devidamente censurado pelo amigo José Afrânio Moreira Duarte, imortal da Academia Mineira de Letras, levado pelos corcéis alados para os céus. Quem leu POEMAS DRAMÁTICOS quando da sua feitura? Além de Afrânio, leu o amigo Lecy Pereira Sousa, que lhe fez comentário crítico, poema a poema. Meus queridos tios e professores Mirene Mendes Fernandes e Rander Barbosa também leram, e deles guardei o comentário de que se tratavam de versos metafísicos . Já os poemas agrupados pelo anti-título de ANSIEDADE, PIEGUICE, EGOÍSMO, POEM@AIS E VERSOS AFETADOS só agora são divulgados, e diferentemente de POEMAS DRAMÁTICOS, não foram sequer comentados. Foram lidos apenas para os amigos mais confidentes de adolescência, como Richard Maxwell e Davidson Soares Silva. Só fui lê-los para Lecy Pereira Sousa já bem mais tarde, em 2010, quando de um passeio ao distrito de São José das Águas Claras, popularmente conhecido como Macacos, no município de Nova Lima/MG. Há um vídeo no YOU TUBE, gravado pelo companheiro de passeio, em que, dentro de ribeirão de Macacos, leio o poema Antipalavra, contracultura , desta segunda reunião de poemas. Considerei conveniente publicar a prosa Uma Academia , escrita em 2002, também um dos meus primeiros escritos. Uma Academia não é ficção pura, mas ficção inspirada na vivência biográfica, quando da fundação e primeiros desdobramentos da Academia Contagense de Letras no Mercado Central de Contagem. A ACL foi fundada em 13 de outubro de 2001, no referido mercado, por sete homens e uma mulher. Neste texto, pinto a caricatura deste momento. Quem já me leu, talvez terá um prazer especial em ler minhas primeiras criações que, acredito, são cheias de vida. Há neles já a presença da retórica, mas sua primitividade confere aos versos, pureza e ternura. São arroubos e rompantes de um poeta bissexto que insurge. São escritos pretenciosos, mas de pretenção natural, e não artificial, quando meu EU tinha suas ideias e vontades próprias. O prefácio é assinado pelo poeta Lecy Pereira Sousa.
