Die Welt ist in den letzten Jahren mehr und mehr ins Wanken geraten. In fast allen Lebenslagen gibt es Umbrüche. Die Politik weiß auf viele Fragen keine relevanten Antworten mehr. Oder aber verbohrte Machthaber wollen sich in den Vordergrund stellen und die übrigen Menschen müssen sehen, wo sie bleiben. Sogar die Kunst sucht auf immer abartigeren Wegen auf die Missstände dieser Welt aufmerksam zu machen. Die Natur tut ein Übriges, indem sie sich mittels Naturkatastrophen wehrt. Wir trudeln einer neuen Sintflut und einem Turmbau zu Babel entgegen. Und ich frage mich: wollen wir das wirklich? Was nützten uns neue Hochleistungstechnologien, wenn wir sie am Ende nicht beherrschen, sondern von ihnen beherrscht werden? Die Menschlichkeit bleibt in dieser unserer Zeit vermehrt auf der Strecke. Jeder denkt nur an seinen Profit und das setzt sich fort in Familien, Volksgruppen, Ländern und deren ethischen Anschauungen, wenn man sie überhaupt noch so benennen darf. Die Kluft zwischen Armen, die nichts zu sagen haben und Reichen, die auf der Welt alles bestimmen, wird immer größer und setzt sich über die Menschlichkeit hinweg. Das Schlimme daran ist nur, dass das alles schon einmal in einer ähnlichen Form da war, wir aber aus den Erfahrungen der Geschichte offenbar nichts gelernt haben. Die Menschheit verhält sich wie pubertäre Jugendliche, die auf die mahnenden Worte der Eltern nicht hören wollen. Und während die Armen immer ärmer werden, hält man sich damit auf, im Weltraum nach Planeten zu suchen, auf denen wir Menschen leben könnten. Aber brauchen wir das auch? Es ist doch klar, wenn es solche Planeten geben sollte, so sind sie von der Entfernung her, mit unserem heutigen Erkenntnisstand, nicht zu erreichen. Es ist klar, Forschung ist wichtig, weil wir ja auch wissen wollen, wo wir herkommen. Aber wäre es da nicht wichtig und richtig, die Forschung auf die Welt, in der wir leben, auf das Hier und Jetzt zu beziehen und die Erde wieder lebenswerter und gesünder zu machen, um diesen einzigartigen Stern im Universum, so lange wie möglich mit lebenswertem Leben zu erfüllen? Reichen denn wirklich die bisher durchlebten Katastrophen noch nicht aus? Müssen wir nicht alle aufstehen und unseren Unmut zum Ausdruck bringen? Vielleicht finden Sie in diesem Buch ein paar Antworten auf diese Fragen! Sicher ist, es soll zum Nachdenken über das Sein auffordern. I
