With her passing in 2020, her family chose to commemorate her by publishing this collection with hopes of building new memories and traditions around preparing and sharing these recipes for generations to come. The contributions stem from the communities surrounding Canora Saskatchewan, as this is where Josie raised her family and made her home. The book also includes a brief history of the area and introduces you to Josie and her kitchen inspiration.This varietal cookbook has over 550 easy to prepare recipes from appetizers, sides and main dishes, soups and salads, dough, cookies, cakes, and pies. It features a variety of traditional Ukrainian and Polish cultural dishes, and includes tips and hints for easier food selection or preparation, conversion charts, temperature charts, and select pictures of prepared or preparing recipes. Josie believed in supporting her community and volunteered at many non-profit charities, for this reason, we are donating all profits from this cookbook to the local organizations that were dear to her heart.
