Astfel ca marturia personala este o puternica unealta de evanghelizare personala, dar pentru a castiga aceasta generatie pentru Hristos avem nevoie de innoire spirituala, atat la nivel personal, cat si la nivel comunitar, innoire ce poate fi definita doar in termenii puritatii, patosului si misiunii. Pentru a atinge dezideratul innoirii, Biserica trebuie sa treaca peste obstacolele nepasarii, apatiei si traditionalismului si sa inceapa cu innoirea felului de gandire a conceptelor. Este necesar ca Biserica sa caute innoirea sa ca intreg, nu doar a fiecarui credincios in parte. De asemenea, volumul de fata abordeaza tensiunea existenta in Biserica intre „radacinile trecutului“ si „aripile viitorului“, ce trebuie rezolvata printr-un echilibru solid intre cele doua, prin intelegerea trecutului care o defineste in ce priveste crezul, scopul si misiunea ei, si deschiderea cu entuziasm, dar prudent, spre viitor pentru a explora marile promisiuni si oportunitati pe care i le ofera Dumnezeu. Publicarea intr-un singur volum a trei carti de acelasi autor, desi se poate sa nu fi fost gandite ca o trilogie, este fericita, intrucat abordarea complementara a unor teme comune, si anume revendicarea promisiunii, recuperarea sfinteniei si revendicarea marturiei va sprijini Biserica pe „campul de batalie“ in lupta ce trebuie dusa pentru innoirea ei. —John Fleter Tipei Biserica lui Hristos: marturie, innoire si echilibru duhovnicesc a dr.
