Symplectic Difference Systems Oscillation And Spectral Theory written by Ondřej Došlý and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-09-06 with Mathematics categories.
This monograph is devoted to covering the main results in the qualitative theory of symplectic difference systems, including linear Hamiltonian difference systems and Sturm-Liouville difference equations, with the emphasis on the oscillation and spectral theory. As a pioneer monograph in this field it contains nowadays standard theory of symplectic systems, as well as the most current results in this field, which are based on the recently developed central object - the comparative index. The book contains numerous results and citations, which were till now scattered only in journal papers. The book also provides new applications of the theory of matrices in this field, in particular of the Moore-Penrose pseudoinverse matrices, orthogonal projectors, and symplectic matrix factorizations. Thus it brings this topic to the attention of researchers and students in pure as well as applied mathematics.

Reaction Kinetics Exercises Programs And Theorems written by János Tóth and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-09-18 with Science categories.
Fifty years ago, a new approach to reaction kinetics began to emerge: one based on mathematical models of reaction kinetics, or formal reaction kinetics. Since then, there has been a rapid and accelerated development in both deterministic and stochastic kinetics, primarily because mathematicians studying differential equations and algebraic geometry have taken an interest in the nonlinear differential equations of kinetics, which are relatively simple, yet capable of depicting complex behavior such as oscillation, chaos, and pattern formation. The development of stochastic models was triggered by the fact that novel methods made it possible to measure molecules individually. Now it is high time to make the results of the last half-century available to a larger audience: students of chemistry, chemical engineering and biochemistry, not to mention applied mathematics. Based on recent papers, this book presents the most important concepts and results, together with a wealth ofsolved exercises. The book is accompanied by the authors’ Mathematica package, ReactionKinetics, which helps both students and scholars in their everyday work, and which can be downloaded from http://extras.springer.com/ and also from the authors’ websites. Further, the large set of unsolved problems provided may serve as a springboard for individual research.

Hereditary systems (or systems with either delay or after-effects) are widely used to model processes in physics, mechanics, control, economics and biology. An important element in their study is their stability. Stability conditions for difference equations with delay can be obtained using a Lyapunov functional. Lyapunov Functionals and Stability of Stochastic Difference Equations describes a general method of Lyapunov functional construction to investigate the stability of discrete- and continuous-time stochastic Volterra difference equations. The method allows the investigation of the degree to which the stability properties of differential equations are preserved in their difference analogues. The text is self-contained, beginning with basic definitions and the mathematical fundamentals of Lyapunov functional construction and moving on from particular to general stability results for stochastic difference equations with constant coefficients. Results are then discussed for stochastic difference equations of linear, nonlinear, delayed, discrete and continuous types. Examples are drawn from a variety of physical systems including inverted pendulum control, study of epidemic development, Nicholson’s blowflies equation and predator–prey relationships. Lyapunov Functionals and Stability of Stochastic Difference Equations is primarily addressed to experts in stability theory but will also be of use in the work of pure and computational mathematicians and researchers using the ideas of optimal control to study economic, mechanical and biological systems.

International Conference On Differential Equations written by H.A. Antosiewicz and has been published by Academic Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-05-10 with Mathematics categories.
International Conference on Differential Equations contains the proceedings of an International Conference on Differential Equations held at the University of Southern California, on September 3-7, 1974. The papers review advances in the qualitative-analytic theory of differential equations and highlight three broad areas: analytic theory (singular perturbations), qualitative theory (boundary value problems), and mathematical control theory (variational methods). Comprised of 82 chapters, this book begins with a discussion on continuous extensions, their construction, and their application in the theory of differential equations. The reader is then introduced to an approach to boundary control of partial differential equations based on the theory of semigroups of operators; lower closure and existence theorems in optimal control; and a nonlinear oscillation theorem. Subsequent chapters focus on matrices of rational functions; asymptotic integration of linear differential systems; solutions near bifurcated steady states; and geometric views in existence theory. This monograph will be of interest to students and instructors of mathematics.

Equadiff-91 stems from the series of conferences initiated by the late Professor Vogel. The first conference Equadiff-70 which was held in Marseille. Since then, similar conferences had been held in Brussels, Florence, Wurzburg as well as Xanthi. The purpose of the Equadiff series of conferences is to present the latest development in the field of differential equations, both ordinary and partial, including their numerical treatment and applications to the mathematics community. These conferences had attracted renowned mathematicians from all over the world to present their studies and findings. The latest conference under the series was Equadiff-91, held in Barcelona. It attracted some 30 renowned mathematicians. Researchers and graduate students of pure and applied mathematics will find this compilation of conference proceedings up-to-date, relevant and insightful.
