This book covers systematically and in a simple language the mathematical and physical foundations of controlling deterministic and stochastic evolutionary processes in systems with a high degree of complexity. Strong emphasis is placed on concepts, methods and techniques for modelling, assessment and the solution or estimation of control problems in an attempt to understand the large variability of these problems in several branches of physics, chemistry and biology as well as in technology and economics. The main focus of the book is on a clear physical and mathematical understanding of the dynamics and kinetics behind several kinds of control problems and their relation to self-organizing principles in complex systems. The book is a modern introduction and a helpful tool for researchers, engineers as well as post-docs and graduate students interested in an application oriented control theory and related topics.

"This book extends a tutorial I wrote on control theory (Bechhoefer, 2005). In both the article and this book, my goal has been "to make the strange familiar, and the familiar strange."1 The strange is control theory-feedback and feedforward, transfer functions and minimum phase, H8 metrics and Z-transforms, and many other ideas that are not usually part of the education of a physicist. The familiar includes notions such as causality, measurement, robustness, and entropy-concepts physicists think they know-that acquire new meanings in the light of control theory. I hope that this book accomplishes both tasks"--

Textbooks in the field of control engineering have, in the main, been written for electrical engineers and the standard of the mathematics used has been relatively high. The purpose of this work is to provide a course of study in elementary control theory which is self-contained and suitable for students of all branches of engineering and of applied physics. The book assumes that the student has a knowledge of mathematics of A-level or 0-2 level standard only. All other necessary pure and applied mathematics is covered for reference purposes in chapters 2-6. As a students' textbook it contains many fully worked numerical examples and sets of examples are provided at the end of all chapters except the first. The answers to these examples are given at the end of the book. The book covers the majority of the control theory likely to be encountered on H. N. C. , H. N. D. and degree courses in electrical, mechanical, chemical and production engineering and in applied physics. It will also provide a primer in specialist courses in instru mentation and control engineering at undergraduate and post graduate level. Furthermore, it covers much of the control theory encountered in the graduateship examinations of the professional institutions, for example I. E. E. Part III (Advanced Electrical Engineer ing and Instrumentation and Control), I. E. R. E. Part 5 (Control Engineering) and the new c. E. I. Part 2 (Mechanics of Machines and Systems and Control Engineering).

Controllability Of Dynamic Systems written by Ara S. Avetisyan and has been published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-04-03 with Science categories.
The book is about the possibilities of involvement of the well-known Green’s function method in exact or approximate controllability analysis for dynamic systems. Due to existing extensions of the Green’s function notion to nonlinear systems, the approach developed here is valid for systems with both linear and nonlinear dynamics. The book offers a number of particular examples, covering specific issues that make the controllability analysis sophisticated, such as coordinate dependent characteristics, point sources, unbounded domains, higher dimensions, and specific nonlinearities. It also offers extensive numerical analysis, which reveals both advantages and drawbacks of the approach. As such, the book will be of interest to researchers interested in the theory and practice of control, as well as PhD and Master’s students.

Control Theory is a field of applied mathematics and engineering that deals with the basic principles underlying the analysis and design of control systems. "Controlling a system" means to influence the behavior of the system in order to achieve a desired goal. Control theory deals with the use of a controller to achieve this purpose. Control theory has been recognized as a mathematical subject since the 1960's; it has contributed to scientific and technological progress in many areas over the last few decades. Control theory has been extensively used in modern society, from simple applications such as temperature devices to sophisticated systems in space flight. The aim of this book is to solve different problems concerning control systems. This book joins a number of recent works in control theory and is useful as a source for researchers in this field concerning control systems.

Handbook Of First Order Partial Differential Equations written by Andrei D. Polyanin and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001-11-15 with Mathematics categories.
This book contains about 3000 first-order partial differential equations with solutions. New exact solutions to linear and nonlinear equations are included. The text pays special attention to equations of the general form, showing their dependence upon arbitrary functions. Each section outlines basic solution methods for the differential equations in that section. The text presents equations and their applications in areas such as differential geometry, nonlinear mechanics, gas dynamics, heat and mass transfer, and wave theory. This handbook is essential for researchers, engineers and students of applied mathematics, mechanics, control theory, and the engineering sciences.

Free Surface Flows Under Compensated Gravity Conditions written by Michael Dreyer and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-04-17 with Science categories.
This book considers the behavior of fluids in a low-gravity environment (e.g. spacecraft) with special emphasis on application in PMD (propellant management device) systems. Since PMD designs are not testable on ground and thus completely rely on analytical or numerical concepts, this book treats three different flow problems with analytical, numerical and experimental means. These problems are linked together by the same set of equations and boundary conditions.
