Die vorliegende Publikation vereint auf empirischer Basis theoretische und praktische Perspektiven auf das Marketingübersetzen für die Automobilbranche im Sprachenpaar Deutsch-Polnisch. Die differente gesellschaftlich-kulturelle Entwicklung sowie Diskrepanzen im Automobilbau in beiden Ländern stellen den interlingualinterkulturellen Transfer deutscher Marketingtexte ins Polnische vor besondere Herausforderungen. Die Analyse der Übersetzungsprobleme erfolgt am Beispiel der Marketingtextsorte Kundenzeitschrift in Anlehnung an den funktionalen Ansatz der Translationswissenschaft. In die wissenschaftliche Beschreibung integriert die Autorin das berufspraktische Konzept der Transkreation, das in die modellhafte Darstellung dieses translatorischen Bereichs einfließt. This publication combines, on an empirical basis, the theoretical and practical perspectives on marketing translation for the automotive industry in the language pair German-Polish. The different sociocultural development as well as discrepancies in the automotive industry in both countries pose special challenges for the interlingual-intercultural transfer of German marketing texts into Polish. The analysis of the translation problems is carried out using the example of the marketing text type customer magazine, following the functional approach of translation studies. In the scientific description, the author integrates the professional-practical concept of transcreation, which flows into the model representation of the interlingual-intercultural transfer of marketing texts.

Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: Der Begriff Image nimmt in unserer heutigen Zeit einen immer größeren Stellenwert ein und ist gerade für Unternehmen zu einem bedeutenden Schlagwort geworden. Dies geht natürlich über ökonomische Überlegungen hinaus und betrifft auch den privaten Bereich. Den Ruf, den eine Person hat, kann mitunter eine entscheidende Einflussgröße darauf sein, welchen Status sie in dieser Gesellschaft einnimmt, wie sie behandelt wird und nicht zuletzt wie erfolgreich sie ist. Das trifft gerade in einer Welt zu, die immer mehr von Oberflächlichkeit geprägt ist. Diesen Wirkungszusammenhang kann man auch ohne Bedenken auf Unternehmen übertragen. Da marketingtheoretische Bemühungen hauptsächlich darauf abzielen, den Erfolg eines Unternehmens zu steigern, ist es unumgänglich sich intensiv mit dem Image und seiner Messung auseinander zu setzten. Die Analyse des Images von Firmen ist insbesondere dort von Interesse, wo sich verschiedene Unternehmen aufgrund ihres hohen Standards, ihres guten Namens und ihres hohen Preisniveaus sehr ähnlich sind und in einem harten Konkurrenzkampf zueinander stehen. Aus diesem Grund hat es sich diese empirische Arbeit zum Forschungsziel gemacht, die drei führenden Automobilhersteller Audi, BMW und Mercedes aus imagetechnischer Sicht miteinander zu vergleichen. Die Hauptmotivation besteht darin, herauszufinden, wie die junge und alte Bevölkerungsschicht den Marken gegenüberstehen und ob sie sich hinsichtlich ihrer Einstellungen voneinander unterscheiden. Diese Arbeit besteht aus ca. zwei Drittel theoretischen und einem Drittel empirischen Teil. Die Theorie liefert ausführlich sämtliche relevante Grundlagen über die wichtigsten Begriffe, die zum Verständnis dieser Arbeit erläutert werden müssen, das notwendige Messinstrumentarium, das zur Verfügung steht und die marketingstrategisch relevanten Implikationen, die sich aus der Imageanalyse ergeben. Als Übergang zum praktischen Teil, folgt eine kurze Betrachtung der Marktsituation im Automobilsektor, speziell in Hinblick auf die drei für die Diplomarbeit relevanten Marken. Anschließend wird die eigentliche Untersuchung der Herstellerimages durchgeführt, indem sich die Analyse an ausgewählten Verfahren aus der Theorie bedient.
