Die sprachliche Vielfalt Lateinamerikas hat ihren Ursprung in der unterschiedlichen Herkunft der Kolonisatoren, den Indianersprachen, den afrikanischen Elementen und den physischen sowie soziokulturellen Entwicklungen des jeweiligen Landes. Nach einem kurzem Überblick über die Geschichte Kolumbiens, sollen die daraus resultierenden Folgen für die heutige Situation und das heutige Sprachbewusstsein dargestellt werden. Ein kurzer Blick auf die dialektale Gliederung des Landes leitet zum dritten Kapitel über, in dem verschiedene Substrateinflüsse der autochthonen Bevölkerung auf das kolumbianische Spanisch untersucht und in der folgenden Überlegung aus soziolinguistischer Perspektive anhand von authentischen Sprecherbeispielen in die dialektal geprägten Bereiche Phonetik, Morphosyntax und Lexik einbezogen werden.

Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Romanistik - Weitere Sprachen, Note: 1,0, Universität Potsdam (Romanistik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Weltweit existieren drei spanisch basierte Kreolsprachen: das Palenquero, das eine Minderheitensprache in Kolumbien darstellt, das Chabacano, welches den Oberbegriff für die auf den Philippinen verwendeten Varietäten bildet, und das Papiamento, das auf den ABC-Inseln gesprochen wird. Die kleinste Sprachgemeinschaft der drei Kreolsprachen bildet das Palenquero mit seinen 4000 Sprechern, wohingegen die Varietäten des Chabacano ungefähr 500000 und die des Papiamento etwa 300000 Sprecher umfassen. Angesichts dieser geringen Zahlen, gerade in Bezug auf das Palenquero, welches als besonders gefährdet gilt, muss „ihre Zukunft als unsicher angesehen werden“ (Pfleiderer 1998: 5). Aufgrund dieses Umstands existieren viele Revitalisierungsversuche, die von den Mitgliedern der Sprachgemeinschaft, Linguisten, Politikern und anderen Persönlichkeiten und Gruppierungen durchgeführt werden, um einem eventuellen Sprachtod entgegenzuwirken. Im Folgenden soll nun eine Betrachtung der neueren Sprachgeschichte dieser drei spanisch basierten Kreolsprachen stattfinden. Dabei werden die Versuche und Umsetzung ihrer Normierung und die damit verbundene Sprachpolitik näher analysiert. Weitere wichtige Aspekte bilden diesbezüglich der Sprachkontakt, hier beispielsweise das Code-Switching, und dessen Einfluss auf die Minderheitensprachen und die Soziolinguistik. Die Quellenlage zum Gegenstand dieser Arbeit ist sehr ergiebig. Eine Vielzahl der Bibliotheken Berlins und Brandenburgs, insbesondere das Iberoamerikanische Institut, bieten einen weit gefächerten Korpus an Literatur an. Grundlegend für die Untersuchung der Lengua Palenquera ist die Magisterarbeit Sprachtod und Revitalisierung der spanisch basierten Kreolsprache Palenquero (Kolumbien) von Bettina Pfleiderer, da sie sich eingehend mit allen in dieser Arbeit zu analysierenden Parametern befasst. Die Verwendung der Magisterarbeit Das Chabacano als spanisch basierte Kreolsprache – Forschungsgeschichte und Stand der Forschung von Franziska Arndt und die Publikation Die Iberoromanische Kreolsprache Papiamento von Johannes Kramer begründet sich unter anderem darin, dass es sich hierbei um die neuesten und vollständigsten Werke zu den beiden Kreolsprachen handelt.

Translation, interpreting and translatology face major challenges today, as new technologies provide new ways of investigating our profession, analysing the process of performing these acts of linguistic mediation, or the outcome of our work, and even permit a fresh look at old data. However, aside from a certain improvement in terms of research possibilities, what else does the future hold for translation and interpreting? This volume proposes the label Translation 4.0, suggesting that contemporary translation should actually be understood as programmatic as expressions such as Industry 4.0 and Internet 4.0, which are often used to refer to the increasing application of Internet technology to facilitate communication between humans, machines and products. As the book shows, Translation 4.0 is at least undergoing a process of formation, if it is not already fully developed.
