Debunking Preterism written by Brock D Hollett and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-09-09 with categories.

Dr. Brock D. Hollett formerly embraced preterism while earning his Master of Divinity at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2000 because the preterist perspective seemed to provide him with coherent arguments regarding the time statements of the New Testament. Persuaded by the arguments put forth by preterist scholars, especially R. C. Sproul, Hank Hanegraaff, N. T. Wright, Gary DeMar, and Kenneth Gentry, Dr. Hollett became a teacher at a church with a preterist orientation, and defended preterist eschatology as the host of a weekly radio program, Fulfilled Life, on Covenant Key FM. By 2013, he had finished writing a book defending preterism and was scheduled to be a conference speaker at a preterist prophecy conference. However, on the very night that he received the first box of 100 books from his publisher, the Lord spoke to his heart to reexamine the biblical doctrine of the resurrection of the dead, which led him to repent of his involvement with preterism. In 2017, God placed a fresh burden on Dr. Hollett's heart to write a book that sets forth a proper biblical eschatology and a roadmap for refuting preterism. He wrote Debunking Preterism: How Over-realized Eschatology Misses the "Not Yet" of Bible Prophecy in only three months, sensing a prophetic urgency regarding the project. Debunking Preterism will undoubtedly become the gold standard on the topic of preterism. The book is replete with a wealth of illustrative figures and comparative charts that reinforce its main concepts. Special emphasis is placed upon a proper understanding of the biblical time statements and the "already and not yet" principle of eschatology.

Preterism is the belief that the majority, if not all, of the eschatological passages in the New Testament have already been fulfilled in the first century. Although there are some needed correctives that preterism provides when interpreting eschatological statements in the Synoptic Gospels, the interpretive methodologies employed are largely plagued with exegetical and logical fallacies. On top of these, the genre of apocalyptic is often completely lost on the modern interpreter and as a result leads to numerous non sequiturs made when it comes to the nature and time of biblical eschatology. This book seeks to correct these hermeneutical missteps by providing exegetical principles that may help guide the reader to a more biblically sound conclusion concerning the timing and nature of biblical eschatology.

The Antichrist And The Second Coming written by Duncan W. McKenzie and has been published by Xulon Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-04 with Religion categories.

What if the commonly held beliefs concerning the Antichrist are mistaken? The Antichrist and the Second Coming looks at the Antichrist and the Second Advent of Christ from a preterist (i.e., past fulfillment) perspective and provides a unified interpretation of the little horn, the prince to come, the king of the North, the man of lawlessness, and the beast. This is the second in a two volume set on the Antichrist; it focuses on the book of Revelation. This edition stands on its own and is recommended reading even if you have not read the first volume (which focuses on Daniel and 2 Thessalonians). McKenzie shows how the Antichrist was ultimately a spiritual ruler from the abyss (Rev. 11:7) that worked through Titus in his three-and-a-half-year destruction of the Jewish nation (AD 67-70; cf. Dan. 9:26). This spirit of Antichrist was about to come out of the abyss in the first century (Rev. 17:8 NASB) and was destroyed by the Second Advent of Jesus in AD 70 (a spiritual event). Continue reading to see how McKenzie convincingly makes the biblical case for this fascinating and controversial position, and what it means for us today. Dr. Duncan McKenzie is a licensed psychologist (Ph.D. in psychology) who lives in Los Angeles, California. He has been studying Bible prophecy for the past twenty-five years and has been researching and writing this two volume set for the last twelve years.

In recent years, there has been rise in popularity and visibility of the debate about the last things. Preterists and Futurists have published books, articles, and even movies promoting their respective views. This debate has elevated the interest of the Christian public in eschatological issues. Along with the increased interest in eschatology, there has been a rise in popularity of the Preterist view, which holds that most or all of the prophecies about ChristÕs coming have already been fulfilledÑthat the Òsecond comingÓ took place in 70 AD. Most of the discussion from those who espouse the Preterist view, however, revolves around certain passages in the New Testament, and their treatment of Old Testament passages is sporadic and selective. The importance of the book of Daniel in these discussions cannot be overstated. However, most commentaries on Daniel from a Futurist perspective have not dealt with the PreteristsÕ interpretations of the key prophetic passages. There simply is no detailed commentary on the book of Daniel that addresses the Presterist interpretations of this important book. This book is a commentary on the entire book of Daniel from a Futurist perspective that specifically addresses the Preterist interpretations of the key prophetic passages. This is not a book that selects passages out of the context of the book and attempts to explain their prophetic significance. Rather, this is a commentary on the entire book of Daniel that places these critical prophetic passages in their literary and historical context, and then deals with the various interpretations of these passages as they fit into the context of the book as a whole.

The Cold Case Against Full Preterism written by Stephen Whitsett and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-03-26 with categories.

The Cold Case Against Full Preterism addresses the claims made by Full Preterists teachers and their works, against Orthodox Christianity. It demonstrates the inconsistencies, and the lack of coherence in the Preterist paradigm and attacks the bases for the denial of the Bodily Resurrection of the saints, the denial of the Bodily existence of Christ in heaven, and why the future visible bodily return of Christ is a departure from the Orthodox Christian faith. The challenge is made to Don Preston, Daniel Rogers, and Alan Bondar, concerning their teaching of the Full Preterist paradigm, and Whitsett provides a clear cut case against the claims made by Full Preterist; The Law Ended in A.D. 70, Jesus had to die twice when his body was burnt up in his ascension, the death of Adam was "spiritual death" and not physical death, the Second Coming was fulfilled in A.D.70 along with the Resurrection of the Dead, and we currently live in the "new Heavens and Earth".There has never been a more damaging theology created in the History of the Church than Full Preterism and Whitsett provided one of the strongest theological argument against such a system. If you have heard about Full Preterism and are investigating it's claims, this book is a start in getting the whole picture and understanding why it should be rejected as anything else but sound.
