The Systems Work Of Social Change written by Cynthia Rayner and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021 with Business & Economics categories.
The issues of poverty, inequality, racial injustice, and climate change have never been more pressing or paralyzing. Current approaches to social change, which rely on linear thinking and traditional power dynamics to 'solve' social problems, are not helping. In fact, they may only be entrenching the status quo.Systemic social challenges produce bewildering results when we try to solve them due to their complexity, scale, and depth. While strategies to tackle complexity and scale have received significant attention and investment, challenges that arise from deeply-held beliefs, values, and assumptions that no longer serve us well have been largely overlooked. This book draws on stories of committed social changemakers to uncover a set of principles and practices for social change that dramatically depart from the industrial approach. Rather than delivering solutions or being lured by grander visions of 'systems change', these principles and practices focus on the process of change itself. Simple yet profound, these stories distil a timely set of lessons for leaders, scholars, and policymakers on how connection, context, and power sit at the heart of the change process, ensuring broader agency for people and communities while building social systems that are responsive in a rapidly-changing world.

Deep Change And Emergent Structures In Global Society written by Andrea M. Maccarini and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-03-01 with Social Science categories.
This book addresses the problem of the transition to new forms of social order in the global world. As a haunting sense of historical discontinuity pervades Western societies, it offers a fresh perspective on the issue, focusing on two basic coordinates to pinpoint the developmental path of rapidly changing societies: one is the mechanism of unfettered social morphogenesis and the other is the specific kind of societal unification brought about by globalization, with the related closure of the world. The book draws on the theoretical work produced in the five volumes of the Springer series ‘’Social Morphogenesis’’ and applies it in a sustained and concerted approach to the empirical examination of macro-social change. The first part of the book presents the social ontology of the morphogenetic approach, and discusses its capacity to interpret macrosocial transitions. The second part then draws a prospective outline of the social formation known as the ‘morphogenic society,’ showing how unbound morphogenesis in a globalized world shapes such crucial phenomena as social norms, war and violence, openness and closure as adaptive responses from social organizations. Lastly, the third part examines the anthropological consequences of these societal trends, focusing on self and character as well as on human fulfillment and the ‘good life’.

Written by a collaborative, diverse, and inclusive community of contributors and business experts, this book is about leading transformational change on an individual, team, organizational, and societal level. All transformation is change, but is all change transformational? This first-of-its-kind book offers a variety of lenses and perspectives, in the form of interviews, essays, and survey responses, with insights from business leaders, HR leaders, coaches, consultants, academics, thought leaders, and other transformational change experts. The compilation of practical tools provides readers with a deep and diverse analysis of top-notch thinking and practices for leading transformational change. This work is fundamental to aspiring leaders, professionals, and academics who wish to learn the secret sauce for leading transformational change.
