Husserl nannte die Geschichte 'das große Faktum des absoluten Seins'. Wie aber ist deren Faktizität, und damit auch die Faktizität des handelnden Einzelnen, überhaupt zu denken, wenn sie zugleich nur durch die phänomenologische Konstitu-tion ins Dasein tritt? Dieses Grundproblem, also das der Individuation, steht im Mittelpunkt der späten Aufsätze Ludwig Landgrebes, in denen er an die Grenzen der Husserlschen Konzep-tion der Phänomenologie vorstößt. Dabei verteidigt er einerseits dessen Position gegen empiristisch-anthropologische Auffassungen und zeigt andererseits über Husserl hinausgehende Möglichkeiten zur Auflösung der Probleme, in die sich die Phänomenologie in Ansehung der Begründung der Faktizität verstrickt.

Dabei grenzt er sich eindeutig von fatalistischen und deterministischen Freiheitskonzeptionen ab. Der Mensch ist für ihn kein ursachenbestimmtes Objekt, sondern ein vollkommen freies Subjekt, das dazu fähig ist, seine eigene Körperlichkeit in ihrer Existenz zu überschreiten. Die besondere Seinsweise des Menschen besteht in seiner Freiheit. In der vorliegenden Arbeit beschäftige ich mich unter anderem mit folgenden Gesichtspunkten aus Sartres Hauptwerk "L'être et le néant": 1. Die Verpflichtung des Menschen, sich auf seine Möglichkeiten hin freiheitlich zu entwerfen. 2. Das Problem der Zuschreibung zum eigenen Körper. 3. Die Verobjektivierung durch den Blick des Anderen. 4. Die Zertrümmerung eines strikten Weltbildes von Objektivität und Subjektivität. 5. Die grenzenlose Verantwortung des Menschen für seine eigenen Handlungen. 6. Die Unbegrenztheit der persönlichen Freiheit.
