Di tutto resta un poco è il libro a cui Antonio Tabucchi ha lavorato, fino all’ultimo, in prima persona, malgrado la malattia e da dentro la malattia, condividendo ogni dettaglio con la curatrice e la casa editrice. È una raccolta di scritti meditata, appassionante, che prende le mosse da un memorabile “elogio della letteratura”, di una letteratura capace di “ficcare il naso dove cominciano gli omissis”. È inevitabile che, a partire da lì, dalla responsabilità delle parole per arrivare alla consolazione della bellezza, Antonio Tabucchi tocchi i temi più cari e insieme ai temi le opere e gli uomini (spesso amici) che lo hanno accompagnato. Ci sono gli autori frequentati con l’assiduità dello studioso (Pessoa e Drummond de Andrade, Kipling e Borges, Cortázar e Primo Levi), quelli sondati dalla veemenza della consuetudine (Daniele Del Giudice, Norman Manea, Enrique Vila-Matas, Mario Vargas Llosa e Tadahiko Wada), quelli più giovani, illuminati da una lungimiranza severa e affettuosa. E poi ci sono meravigliose pagine sul cinema, che tengono insieme il lirico omaggio alle ali di farfalla di Marilyn Monroe e la penetrante analisi della gag sovversiva di Almodóvar. Di tutto resta un poco fa certamente parte di un lascito fondamentale, ma è anche un libro che accende l’intelligenza, la curiosità, gli entusiasmi, come ci trovassimo di fronte alla mappa di un territorio che finalmente possiamo visitare, con la complicità e la guida dello scrittore che lo ha abitato, che lo ha costruito, che lo ha custodito per noi.

Salvatore La Moglie è nato a Lauropoli (Cosenza) nel 1958. Si è laureato in “Lettere Moderne” presso l'Università Statale di Milano con una tesi sui “fatti del 1956” visti attraverso l'Avanti!. Insegna Italiano e Storia negli Istituti Superiori. Nel 1998 ha pubblicato, per la Casa Editrice Pellegrini di Cosenza, il suo primo romanzo, La stanza di Pascal; nel 2000, presso la “Calabria letteraria editrice” della Rubbettino, il secondo romanzo Il cocchio alato del tempo. Nel 2007 un racconto I campanelli d'oro e una poesia Tra la terra e il cielo sono stati inseriti rispettivamente nell'antologia Ulivi, edizioni Il Coscile, e nell'antologia Tra cielo e terra - La montagna, Ferrari editore. La stessa poesia citata è stata selezionata e premiata al “1° Premio Internazionale Salvatore Quasimodo” e poi inserita nell'antologia omonima del Premio a cura della Aletti Editore, 2016. Altri testi poetici e raccolte di poesie sono state pubblicate a cura della Aletti Editore nelle antologie Habere Artem (2016) Il Federiciano 2016, Austro 2017- Poeti del nuovo millennio a confronto e “Il Paese della Poesia- Tre poeti a confronto”, 2017, con la raccolta Il poeta è un rivoltoso (2017). Sempre per l'Aletti editore ha pubblicato nel 2017 la raccolta poetica La parola che resiste. Unfinished work or interrupted work... It is difficult to find a definition, to identify the theme, to distinguish chance from intentionality. Few 'genres' and / or variations express as the 'unfinished' the same need for what is external to the work and which somehow completes it, bringing the work in a privileged position to create a harmony with our restless modernity. No wonder that in literature, in addition to what has been brutally interrupted, the letters, the diaries, the chronicles of disease and suffering are naturally suspended works. No wonder either that incompleteness accompanies the writings referring to unsolved issues, hidden traumas, silent melancholy. Dictated by choice or by distinct degrees of incapacity, the temptation of the unfinished pursues, urges, deludes its author... The private writings, the sketches, the projects, the papers testify the path necessary for the work to develop and conquer its shape. This book is rich and suggestive and has been conceived and edited by Anna Dolfi. Like its very object, the work is drafted in the perspective of the unfinished and questions some of the many possible examples, along a diachronic arc that goes to literature at figurative arts, theatre, cinema: from Leonardo to Blake, from Ariosto to Stendhal, from Dossi to Gadda, from Kafka to Borges, from Sarraute to Morante, from unknown writers affected by 'cancroregina' to the last Pirandello staged by Tiezzi, up to Fellini of the impossible Mastorna ... In the first pages of the Zibaldone, Leopardi had noted that the "love of learning" induces a passion for philosophy, making it a foundational element of modern culture. In this perspective, then, no doubt remains as to the prominent position of Voltaire's Candide, or of Rousseau's thought, which combines philosophical thinking, educational demands, political passion and autobiography. However, in order to move from the count to the novel, from the apologue and from the treatises to complex characters who also maintain a strong and speculative allure, one had to leave the 18th century, experience Romanticism, feed the rêveries of the new promeneurs solitaires during the following century, with the restlessness and the questions of Dostoevsky, Kafka, Sartre, Camus, and of Pirandello, Proust, Musil and many others; of those who combined the passion for short stories with the unmasking of any deceptive theodicy. Bringing the the novel back to bourgeois intertwining and existential anxieties, starting from Cervantes's ironic way of thinking. In the absence of declarations, however, where does one find the evidence of the presence of the philosophique in the novel, or how does one identify texts pertaining to the definition of roman philosophique? This book, conceived and edited by Anna Dolfi, does not only raises the problem, but tries to solve it as well. At the same time, it brings the ideas of the novel and from the novel together with constructive theories, and compares the insignificant with significance, mythical emblems and codes, semiosis and destiny, while also observing how language, in the parade of the authors, changes itself and even touches the figurativeness of the graphic-novel. This volume constitutes the final point of arrival of a path which, in samples, locks significant fragments in the otherwise infinite kaleidoscope of narration.

Finalmente tradotti in lingua italiana, il volume offre a lettori, studiosi, studenti e appassionati due importanti libri-intervista che contengono le conversazioni che si sono svolte nell’arco compreso fra la metà e la fine degli anni novanta tra Antonio Tabucchi e due suoi traduttori “d’eccellenza”: lo spagnolo Carlos Gumpert e il greco Anteos Chrysostomidis. Si tratta delle interviste più estese e complete fra le tante realizzate, perché frutto di incontri prolungati avvenuti lungo diversi mesi. La loro importanza è accresciuta dal rapporto di grande intesa intellettuale fra l’autore e i due traduttori, profondi conoscitori della sua opera. La traduzione era del resto per Tabucchi – egli stesso traduttore – un atto ermeneutico tra i più complessi ed essenziali per la comprensione piena di un testo: basti pensare all’importanza che la traduzione, alla quale è ritornato ripetutamente, ha avuto per il Tabucchi studioso di Fernando Pessoa. Non sorprende, dunque, che abbia accettato di rispondere in modo ampio ed esaustivo alle domande di Gumpert e di Chrysostomidis, relative non solo all’opera, ma alla vita, al rapporto con la scrittura, la letteratura, le arti figurative, il cinema, a questioni di natura filosofica e speculativa, politica e sociale. Un libro prezioso e godibilissimo, che costituisce un importante documento per la conoscenza di uno degli scrittori più importanti della letteratura contemporanea italiana ed europea. A cura di Clelia Bettini e Maurizio De Rosa, il volume si apre con un’introduzione scritta da Anna Dolfi.
