Jahrhundert bis heute gewidmet. Dabei werden nicht nur die medizinisch-ärztlichen sondern auch die psycho-sozialen, volkstümlichen, kulturellen und religiösen Aspekte in Bezug auf Krankheitsentstehung, -auswirkung und -bewältigung aufgezeigt. Den Abschluss bilden zwei zeitunabhängige Kapitel ("Appendices"): zum einen die Thematik "Prominente Epilepsiekranke", zum andern das Thema "Epilepsie und Kunst".
