Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Musikwissenschaft, Note: 1,3, Universität Potsdam (Institut für Musik und Musikpädagogik), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Noch bis zum Ende der Sechziger Jahre des vorherigen Jh.s dominierte in amtlichen Erlassen und didaktisch-methodischen Fachpublikationen die Auffassung, der Vokalbereich müsse im Musikunterricht eine Vorrangsstellung einnehmen, das Singen sei die wichtigste musikalische Verhaltensweise und eine Annäherung an die Kunstmusik solle insbesondere über die Auseinandersetzung mit verschiedenartigem Liedgut erfolgen. Diese Sichtweise erscheint historisch angemessen, wenn man sich vergegenwärtigt, daß die musikalische Umwelt von Kindern bis zur Wende zum 20. Jh. nahezu ausschließlich durch volkstümliche und geistliche Lieder repräsentiert war, welche stets in unvermittelter Form aufgenommen wurden, zumeist realisiert durch den eigenen Musiklehrer in seiner Funktion als Organist, Kantor oder Leiter des ortseigenen Chores.1 Eine grundlegend veränderte Situation hat sich jedoch mit der Perfektionierung und Verbreitung von Aufnahme- und Wiedergabetechnik sowie von Rundfunk und anderen Massenmedien ergeben. Der Hörer ist nicht mehr auf das angewiesen, was er selbst musiziert bzw. was andere in seiner unmittelbaren Umgebung musizieren, sondern kann sich flexibel seinen persönlichen Vorlieben hingeben, schließlich ist Musik aller Genres jederzeit verfügbar.2 Eine so plurale musikalische Realität läßt sich aber kaum mit nur einer zentralen Verhaltensweise erschließen, etwa mittels vokaler Reproduktion. Der Musikunterricht sollte daher auf die beschriebenen Veränderungen mit einer Vielzahl an Inhalten und Methoden reagieren. Zum Zwecke einer umfassenden musikalischen Unterweisung unterscheidet Venus (1984: 21f.) fünf grundlegende Verhaltensweisen zur Musik, deren Gleichrangigkeit in der schulmusikalischen Arbeit er für erstrebenswert hält: Produktion – Reproduktion – Rezeption – Transposition – Reflexion. Widmet sich Venus in seiner Schrift Unterweisung im Musikhören einer vertiefenden Betrachtung der Musikrezeption, soll es in der vorliegenden Arbeit um die Transposition von Musik in Körperbewegung gehen.

Noch bis circa 1960 herrschte die Auffassung, der Vokalunterricht müsse im Musikunterricht eine Vorrangstellung haben. Das Singen als wichtigste Handlung des Musikunterrichts sollte die Auseinandersetzung mit verschiedenartigem Liedgut fördern. Die musikalische Umwelt war in dieser Zeit geprägt durch volkstümliche beziehungsweise geistliche Lieder, welche vom Musiklehrer selbst vorgetragen wurden. Die Entwicklung der Aufnahme- und Wiedergabetechnik und die Verbreitung von Musik durch Rundfunk und andere Medien hat die Lernsituation für Schülerinnen und Schüler (SuS) jedoch verändert. Die SuS sind nicht mehr davon abhängig das zu hören, was der Musiklehrer reproduziert. Ein so entstehendes, vielfältiges Musikangebot lässt sich nicht ausschließlich mit der vokalen Wiedergabe erschließen. Der Musikunterricht musste dementsprechend auf die Veränderungen mit angepassten Lernmethoden reagieren. In der heutigen Zeit hat sich die Lebensumwelt von Kindern auffallend verändert. Bewegungsmöglichkeiten sind eingeschränkt vorhanden bzw. werden weniger genutzt. Man liest und hört viel darüber, dass Kinder sich zu wenig bewegen und Bewegungserziehung eine immer geringe Rolle spielt. Laut dem Kinderschutzbund NRW ist der Mangel an körperlicher Aktivität mittlerweile ein bedrohliches Problem der gesamten Gesellschaft geworden. Dieser Bewegungsmangel führt nicht nur zu unzureichender, körperlicher Fitness, sondern auch zu eingeschränkter Kreativität und Leistungsfähigkeit. Als Ursache dieser Situation benennt der Kinderschutzbund NRW vor allem die Verkleinerung der Spiel und Bewegungsräume für Kinder durch zunehmende Urbanisierung und steigenden Straßenverkehr sowie die zunehmnde Nutzung elektronischer Medien. Die Lebensräume von Kindern unterliegen demnach einem starken strukturellen Wandel.
