This book is, as indicated by the subtitle, intended in the first place for executives and managers. But actually its is essential reading for all who are faced with digital transformation. It offers a valuable reflection on knowledge developed and experience accumulated in daily practice, focusing on the approach to contemporary digital business challenges. Written in understandable language and with a powerful, logical structure, it has become a very accessible book that remains fascinating from beginning to end. It teaches you to understand topics that matter such as the need for digital transformation, the connection with business strategy and the essential differences in starting positions between organizations. What to do next is made concrete and practical by identifying five necessary digital breakthroughs and working them out into clear goals, which should be included in the change cycle as part of your digital strategy. The phase model presented includes three distinct steps - from product focus in the first phase to customer orientation in the second phase, followed by a third phase in which the customer is at the center. The book describes what is required to take these steps - the checklist that is included provides organizations with direction. This helps in setting up a strategy and developing an effective roadmap for organizations to transform. “The book 'Successful Digital Transformation' reads like a modern fairy tale. It's clever how the essence of the field of digital transformation is captured in barely 100 pages. But the theme has also been made very practical, the underlying topics (such as data management, enterprise architecture, change management) have been tied together and explained in a comprehensible way. I think the book fills a great need, because many books and articles on this topic are either full of buzzwords that are not further described, or lapse into academic jargon that is incomprehensible to the average reader. This book sits nicely between academia and practice, without falling into compromises.” – Frank Harmsen - Associate Professor of Digital Transformation, Maastricht University

Computational Geometry Topology And Physics Of Digital Images With Applications written by James F. Peters and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-10-03 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This book discusses the computational geometry, topology and physics of digital images and video frame sequences. This trio of computational approaches encompasses the study of shape complexes, optical vortex nerves and proximities embedded in triangulated video frames and single images, while computational geometry focuses on the geometric structures that infuse triangulated visual scenes. The book first addresses the topology of cellular complexes to provide a basis for an introductory study of the computational topology of visual scenes, exploring the fabric, shapes and structures typically found in visual scenes. The book then examines the inherent geometry and topology of visual scenes, and the fine structure of light and light caustics of visual scenes, which bring into play catastrophe theory and the appearance of light caustic folds and cusps. Following on from this, the book introduces optical vortex nerves in triangulated digital images. In this context, computational physics is synonymous with the study of the fine structure of light choreographed in video frames. This choreography appears as a sequence of snapshots of light reflected and refracted from surface shapes, providing a solid foundation for detecting, analyzing and classifying visual scene shapes.

Digitization and Artificial Intelligence are at the center of every board room conversation these days. Most CEOs, senior management and boards are less worried about their traditional competitors. The impact of disruption through digitization is real and quantifiable – 52% of Fortune 500 companies have been replaced since 2000. The task of enabling new digital business models gets exponentially harder as the complexity of systems are greater. Most CIOs, CTOs are struggling with when to start, what to do, and how to meet the expectations of their CEOs and Boards. Design patterns help narrow this gap by documenting a well-working solution to a problem that occurs repeatedly in a given context. “Enterprise Digitization Patterns” breaks down digital disruption enablers and delivers a cookbook across three key pillars – Digital Experience, Enterprise IoT and Autonomous Systems. The book provides reference architectures, design patterns, maturity models and practical case studies to drive new forms of customer value, business outcomes and business models. The design patterns are distinct or relevant to modern-day enterprise digital platforms that enables enterprise digital business models.

The Digital Party written by Paolo Gerbaudo and has been published by Pluto Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-12-14 with Political Science categories.

From the Five Star Movement to Podemos, from the Pirate Parties to La France Insoumise, from the movements behind Bernie Sanders to those backing Jeremy Corbyn, the last decade has witnessed the rise of a new blueprint for political organisation: the digital party. Paolo Gerbaudo addresses the organisational revolution that is transforming political parties in the time of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Cambridge Analytica. Drawing on interviews with political leaders and organisers, Gerbaudo demonstrates that besides rapidly growing in votes, these formations have also revitalised party democracy, involving hundreds of thousands in discussions carried out on online decision-making platforms. Participatory, yet plebiscitarian, open and democratic, yet dominated by charismatic 'hyperleaders', digital parties display both great potentials and risks for the development of new forms of mass participation in an era of growing inequality. All political parties will have to reckon with the lessons of the digital party.
