In diesem Buch wird diesen Fragen im Rahmen einer Interviewstudie nachgegangen. Indem zugleich Sachunterrichts- und Physiklehrpersonen befragt werden, gelingt es, die in Studien sonst häufig vorgenommene ausschließliche Auseinandersetzung mit dem Primar- oder Sekundarbereich zu überwinden. Die Auswertung der insgesamt 19 Einzelinterviews erfolgt in dieser Studie über ein in Anlehnung an Gropengießer (2005) und Schmidt (2007) entwickeltes interpretatives Verfahren der qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse. Basierend auf den Ergebnissen der Interviewstudie werden Hinweise für die Lehrerbildung im Hinblick auf die Energiethematik formuliert. Hierdurch soll ein Diskurs über die Frage initiiert werden, wie Lehrpersonen Lernende dazu befähigen können, fachlich belastbare Vorstellungen zur Energiethematik zu entwickeln und sich sachkompetent mit aktuellen gesellschaftspolitischen Themen auseinanderzusetzen. Das vorliegende Werk versteht sich dabei insgesamt als Beitrag zur Lehrervorstellungsforschung, geht aber aufgrund der Auseinandersetzung mit Fragen der Professionalisierung von Lehrpersonen deutlich darüber hinaus.
