As Christian educators, we want our students to know the Bible. Our students need a solid foundation of Scripture learning "for doctrine, for reproof, for education, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Tim. 3:16).At the same time, we know that Bible information is not enough. Once when Jesus was talking to serious Bible students, He had these harsh words to say: "These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life" (John 5:39-40).What a tragedy-people who knew all sorts of Bible details, yet had not yielded their lives to Jesus and had not experienced His transforming power! But it happened. And it can happen in our Sunday schools, even with dedicated leaders and teachers. What can we do? How can we make sure that we are reaching our students, and not just covering the lesson material? We must choose Bible lessons that students can understand and apply at their own level of development. We must build application into the whole lesson, and not just tack it on to the end.We must follow a comprehensive plan that takes every student, at every age, through a discipleship process that continues for a lifetime. This book will show you how.

A profound exploration of how to hold on to hope when our unchanging faith collides with a changing culture, from two respected Christian storytellers and thought leaders. “Offers neither spin control nor image maintenance for the evangelical tribe, but genuine hope.”—Russell Moore, president of ERLC As the pressures of health warnings, economic turmoil, and partisan politics continue to rise, the influence of gospel-focused Christians seems to be waning. In the public square and popular opinion, we are losing our voice right when it’s needed most for Christ’s glory and the common good. But there’s another story unfolding too—if you know where to look. In Gospelbound, Collin Hansen and Sarah Eekhoff Zylstra counter these growing fears with a robust message of resolute hope for anyone hungry for good news. Join them in exploring profound stories of Christians who are quietly changing the world in the name of Jesus—from the wild world of digital media to the stories of ancient saints and unsung contemporary activists on the frontiers of justice and mercy. Discover how, in these dark times, the light of Jesus shines even brighter. You haven’t heard the whole story. And that’s good news.

Equipping the Saints Bible School is a two-year Bible School that is designed to help equip you for ministry. It's not only a school that teaches you the word of God but also teaches you how to be a doer of it. During this course, you will learn about many foundational Christian doctrines that we as believers build our faith upon. These doctrines include The Fall of Man, The inspiration of the Bible, The Plan of Salvation, The Trinity, Sanctification, Divine Healing, The End Times, etc. In regards to an elder/bishop, Titus 1:9 says, "holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict." Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 2:24, "And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient," And James writes, "My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment." (James 3:1). This course will equip you with a strong understanding of the Bible so that you are able to teach sound doctrine. In each course, you will be encouraged to have a strong daily walk with God in reading your Bible and praying. We believe everything you ever will amount to starts in your daily walk with God. Students will be challenged to make evangelism a part of their everyday life. We believe evangelism is a lifestyle, not something you only do when the church has a scheduled outreach. By completing this school, you will be a well-equipped saint to help build the body of Christ and win the world for Jesus!

Observe...Interpet...Apply People with Bibles don't always know how to use them. They're good at absorbing and repeating material from sermons, commentaries, and blogs, but they miss the fullness and joy that comes from studying the Bible for themselves. The power to change the world is available, but it goes untapped. Though study aids are helpful, imagine if your primary ministry curriculum was Scripture itself. You could study the Bible, teach people how to study it themselves, and expect those folks to lead their own Bible studies with their neighbors, coworkers, and friends. Each year, you'd see an increasing number of men and women wield the sword of the Spirit, piercing hearts and drawing the lost to Jesus. Ordinary people can learn to study the Bible. These people may not have been to seminary. They don't have much free time. But they love Jesus and want to be more like him. They want to know him. Knowable Word offers a foundation on why and how to study the Bible. Using a running study of the first chapter of Genesis, it illustrates how to observe, interpret, and apply the Scripture-and gives the vision behind each step. It also shows how to read each Bible passage in light of salvation history. But besides being just a how-to on Bible study, it fuels the desire to learn and grow through studying the Scriptures. This book will appeal to three kinds of people: 1. Beginners who love God and his Word 2.Mature Christians who want to improve their Bible study skills 3.Leaders who long not only to teach but also to equip Knowable Word offers what each group needs: a sensible Bible study method. By learning to observe, interpret, and apply, ordinary people will grow extraordinarily close to Jesus Christ as they learn to study his knowable Word.

Truth * Repentance * Glory * RevivalThis book takes the reader on an adventure of intriguing theological thought as it explores over fifty topics relevant to the Christian life. The author's teaching is to the point, yet comprehensive enough to answer a range of questions as it articulates the truth of God's Word. The value of understanding the Bible blossoms in the beauty of God's glory as the wisdom of the Lord applies his truth to our everyday life.A much-needed systematic theology is established as doctrine is taught with originality in the power of the Holy Spirit with dynamic revelation. It builds solid truth in a structural style and should resonate with any believer as prophetic, personal, and inspirational. Theologically, it is equivalent to a four-year Bible College. Biblical truth is taught to equip the Christian and minister with significant knowledge and wisdom on over fifty topics. Many false beliefs and misconceptions are dealt with while God's Word is taught in clarity. The book shares breakthrough insight on many subjects of the Bible that are hard to understand. Also, there is significant teaching on the born-again experience, the constitution of the Christian or who we are in Christ, the baptism with the Holy Spirit, authentic worship, and much more! This is a textbook for the Christian life. Many will see it as a great source of sermons, curriculum, and position papers. The titles of the forty-four chapters should strike the interest of any God-fearing truth-loving Christian. You will not be disappointed as the Holy Spirit articulates God's will, sorts out ideas, clears away confusion, and builds solid beliefs and practice! You will see a consistency of relationship. The Bible is a unified masterpiece of truth; it's all related. Most chapters start fresh with new topics and developing themes. There are studious sections that dig deep for the purpose of benefiting everyone with greater appreciation and knowledge of God's Word while attempting to satisfy the Bible College graduate. There is much teaching today that has obscured the true meaning and application of Scripture, placed a veil over the heart of believers, and deprived Christians of its complete relevant impact upon them. Therefore, it was necessary to write a book which establishes a systematic theology based upon the full counsel of God (Acts 20:27) without imposing agendas nor being controlled by any religious group.

This work is a study in the principles given in the book of Revelation. The difficulties the church experienced during the first century, persecution, natural disasters, and social difficulties, are similar to the problems the modern church faces. These principles were given to instruct the servants of Christ in how to deal with and survive these events which come to all believers at one time or another. Clearly understanding who we are in Christ will enable us to be victorious. Sherman Critser graduated from Anderson College in 1976 with a BA in Biblical Studies. He then graduated from Anderson School of Theology in 1979 with a Masters in Missiology and later his Doctor of Ministry degree in 2005. In 1979 Sherman and his wife, Kay, began their missionary assignments in Tanzania. In 2005 Sherman became Regional Coordinator for Africa for Global Missions of the Church of God. The basis for this writing was Sherman's DMin Thesis, originally titled: Equipping the Church in Africa for Difficult times: A Pastoral Training Program from the Book of Revelation and was originally for the church in Africa. David Miller graduated from Anderson College in 1974 and spent three years in local church ministry in South San Francisco, California. Dave earned the Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1980. As a missionary to Bolivia, Dave's chief ministries were itinerant evangelism, Bible training, and editor of the Church of God magazine La Trompeta for 14 years. In 2002, Compass Direct hired him as Managing Editor which reports on global persecution of Christians. Dave has authored three books in English, The Lord of Bellavista, The Path and the Peacemakers and Song of the Andes, and one work in Spanish, La Vida en el Espíritu; Descubriendo una relación sana y santa con Dios.
