Users are considered as important source for new service ideas and, therefore, as a vital impetus to the creation of innovative new services. Yet, little is known about how service companies manage user integration in the early stages of service development and which types of user qualify as source of service innovation. In this work we widen the knowledge base practitioners and scientists can build on when exploring which service users to integrate and how to increase the likelihood of generating attractive new service ideas. Based on empirical data from two complementary large scale surveys, we provide valuable new insights into the industrial practice of user integration in the German services industry and analyze the independent development contributions of Internet service users.

Measures For Innovating Business Models written by Oana Buliga and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-04-02 with Business & Economics categories.

The literature on business model innovation mainly regards large enterprises and is not tailored to SME characteristics. Oana Buliga takes an exploratory look at whether SMEs use strategies which are mainly designed for large enterprises for innovating their business models. The results show that SMEs generally follow successful innovations of large enterprises. Another main finding is that SMEs innovate intuitively: from common sense changes to bold innovations, which severely reshape the value creation systems on the whole. Yet, business model innovation is still a rather ambiguous term and depends on what is considered to be the industry-standard.

This innovation roadmap has to be carefully and systematically planned and procured. There are a lot of methods for creativity, market analysis, evaluation, technology forecast, and decision gates available within this book. These methods and tools are brought together and their scopes of application as well as their limitations are shown. The whole tool kit of methods and decision models like market studies, value engineering, TRIZ or portfolio analysis and others are linked together to the overall Aachen Innovation Model (AIM). This handbook is to be used as an innovation management guide as well as an information source for nearly all methods and tools in the field of innovation for technical products. The complete Innovation Road Map is supported by an interactive, multiple user software tool "EDEN" on an ontology basis.
