**Essentials of Heat Transfer and Numerical Computation** is a comprehensive textbook that provides a complete introduction to heat transfer and numerical methods. The book is written in a clear and concise style, and it is illustrated with numerous examples and exercises. The book is divided into ten chapters, each of which covers a different aspect of heat transfer and numerical computation. The first chapter provides an introduction to the basic concepts of heat transfer, including the three modes of heat transfer (conduction, convection, and radiation) and the conservation of energy. The second chapter introduces the finite difference method, the finite element method, and the boundary element method. These methods are used to solve the governing equations of heat transfer. The third, fourth, and fifth chapters cover conduction heat transfer, convection heat transfer, and radiation heat transfer, respectively. These chapters provide a detailed analysis of the different modes of heat transfer and the factors that affect them. The sixth and seventh chapters cover phase change heat transfer and heat transfer in multi-dimensional systems, respectively. Phase change heat transfer is the heat transfer that occurs during the change of phase of a substance, such as the melting of ice or the boiling of water. Heat transfer in multi-dimensional systems is the heat transfer that occurs in systems that have more than one spatial dimension, such as heat transfer in a pipe or heat transfer in a building. The eighth, ninth, and tenth chapters cover advanced topics in heat transfer, including heat transfer in nanomaterials, heat transfer in microelectronics, and heat transfer in extreme environments. These chapters provide a glimpse of the latest research in heat transfer and the future of heat transfer technology. **Essentials of Heat Transfer and Numerical Computation** is a valuable resource for students, practitioners, and researchers in the field of heat transfer. The book can be used as a textbook for undergraduate and graduate courses in heat transfer, and it can also be used as a reference book for practicing engineers and scientists. Heat Transfer Principles and Applications is a welcome change from more encyclopedic volumes exploring heat transfer. This shorter text fully explains the fundamentals of heat transfer, including heat conduction, convection, radiation and heat exchangers. The fundamentals are then applied to a variety of engineering examples, including topics of special and current interest like solar collectors, cooling of electronic equipment, and energy conservation in buildings. The text covers both analytical and numerical solutions to heat transfer problems and makes considerable use of Excel and MATLAB® in the solutions. Each chapter has several example problems and a large, but not overwhelming, number of end-of-chapter problems.

Principles Of Heat Transfer In Porous Media written by M. Kaviany and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Science categories.
Although the empirical treatment of fluid flow and heat transfer in porous media is over a century old, only in the last three decades has the transport in these heterogeneous systems been addressed in detail. So far, single-phase flows in porous media have been treated or at least formulated satisfactorily, while the subject of two-phase flow and the related heat-transfer in porous media is still in its infancy. This book identifies the principles of transport in porous media and compares the avalaible predictions based on theoretical treatments of various transport mechanisms with the existing experimental results. The theoretical treatment is based on the volume-averaging of the momentum and energy equations with the closure conditions necessary for obtaining solutions. While emphasizing a basic understanding of heat transfer in porous media, this book does not ignore the need for predictive tools; whenever a rigorous theoretical treatment of a phenomena is not avaliable, semi-empirical and empirical treatments are given.

Essentials And Applications Of Solar Energy Technology written by Prof. Satyashree Ghodke and has been published by Blue Rose Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-06-16 with Science categories.
The origin and continuation of humankind is based on solar energy. The most basic processes supporting life on earth, such as photosynthesis and the rain cycle, are driven by solar energy. From the very beginning of its history humankind realized that a good use of solar energy is in humankind’s benefit. Solar power is widely acknowledged to be the fastest-growing energy industry in the world. As technological improvements steadily progress toward the erasure of cost and efficiency barriers, two issues are coming to the forefront of public discourse on solar energy—variability and reliability. These issues have made the field of solar forecasting and resource assessment pivotally important, and to date, there has been no comprehensive single text devoted to it. The major strength of the book is the clear and precise presentation of the subject matter in logical manner.
