Existentia hermeneutica is phronetic existence with the aim of cultivating practical wisdom in human life: It comes from life, influences life, and transforms life. Understanding what is happening in life requires reaching the hermeneutic truth, which is the truth of understanding. The experience of hermeneutic truth calls for personal commitment and existential response, and, thus, expresses the hermeneutic moral imperative. Referring to Heidegger’s phenomenological analytics of Dasein, Gadamer emphasizes that understanding is not only one of the human capabilities, but a way of Dasein’s being-in-the-world.

Hermeneutics Of Education written by Andrzej Wiercinski and has been published by LIT Verlag Münster this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-03-10 with Education categories.

A hermeneutics of education pays special attention not to educational structures, but the central role of conversation in the educational process. The key issue is the formation of the person as a unique reality of being and acting while supporting intersubjective understanding. The polyphony of understanding places the human search for meaning within the horizon of incompleteness and allows for both, spontaneity and rigor, in order to reach an understanding of what is happening to us and in us when we understand. Reflection on education is always inseparable from educational practice.

Toward A Hermeneutic Theory Of Social Practices written by Dimitri Ginev and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-01-19 with Social Science categories.

Recent methodological debates have shown that practice theory can either be developed by combining and slightly extending established theoretical concepts of inter-subjectivity, social normativity, collective behavior, interaction between agents and environment, habits, learning, collective intentionality, and human agency; or by following a strategy that promotes the quest for completely autonomous concepts. In the latter case, one defends a thesis of irreducibility. Toward a Hermeneutic Theory of Social Practices advocates this thesis by approaching the interrelational dynamic of social practices in terms of existential analytic. Indeed, this insightful volume outlines a methodology of the double hermeneutics that allows the study of the entanglement of agential plans, beliefs, and intentions with configured practices; while also demonstrating how interrelated social practices with which agency is entangled articulate cultural forms of life. Suggesting a framework for studying the cultural forms of life within the scope of practice theory, this book will appeal to postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers interested in fields such as Social Theory, Philosophy of Social Science, and Research Methods for Social and Behavioral Sciences.

Sartre S Anthropology As A Hermeneutics Of Praxis written by Kristian Klockars and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-01-04 with Philosophy categories.

First published in 1998, this volume deals with the legacy of Sartre and functions as a way of going beyond Sartre by means of Sartre, aiming to understand how we are to understand what we ourselves do and how we are to understand human being and human reality. Kristian Klockars’ main aim is intended to communicate three questions: how close Sartre’s later anthropology comes to hermeneutics, whether the idea of a hermeneutics of praxis could be seen as a possible solution to the internal tensions of Sartre’s conception, thinking with Sartre beyond Sartre, and whether a hermeneutics of praxis can constitute a living challenge to contemporary thought.

The Tenets Of Cognitive Existentialism written by Dimitri Ginev and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-09-20 with Philosophy categories.

In The Tenets of Cognitive Existentialism, Dimitri Ginev draws on devel-opments in hermeneutic phenomenology and other programs in hermeneutic philosophy to inform an interpretative approach to scientific practices. At stake is the question of whether it is possible to integrate forms of reflection upon the ontological difference in the cognitive structure of scientific research. A positive answer would have implied a proof that (pace Heidegger) “science is able to think.” This book is an extended version of such a proof. Against those who claim that modern science is doomed to be exclusively committed to the nexus of objectivism and instrumental rationality, the interpretative theory of scientific practices reveals science’s potentiality of hermeneutic self-reflection. Scientific research that takes into consideration the ontological difference has resources to enter into a dialogue with Nature. Ginev offers a critique of postmodern tendencies in the philosophy of science, and sets out arguments for a feminist hermeneutics of scientific research.

Ontology The Hermeneutics Of Facticity written by Martin Heidegger and has been published by Indiana University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-08-18 with Philosophy categories.

This probing analysis of the history of ontology is “of enormous significance for students of the development of Heidegger’s early thought” (Daniel O. Dahlstrom Boston University). First published in 1988, Ontology—The Hermeneutics of Facticity is the text of Heidegger’s lecture course at the University of Freiburg during the summer of 1923. In these lectures, Heidegger reviews and makes critical appropriations of the hermeneutic tradition from Plato, Aristotle, and Augustine to Schleiermacher and Dilthey. Through this critical survey, he reformulates the question of being on the basis of facticity and the everyday world. Specific themes deal with the history of ontology, the development of phenomenology and its relation to Hegelian dialectic, traditional theological and philosophical concepts of man, the present situation of philosophy, and the influences of Aristotle, Luther, Kierkegaard, and Husserl on Heidegger’s thinking. Students of Heidegger will find initial breakthroughs in his unique elaboration of the meaning of human experience and the “question of being,” which received mature expression in Being and Time.
