Die Beiträge dieses Tagungsbandes bringen zwei Kernbereiche alttestamentlicher Forschung in ein konstruktiv-kritisches Gespräch miteinander: Pentateuchforschung und Jesajaforschung. Unter verschiedenen Aspekten werden Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede zwischen Texten des Pentateuch und Deuterojesaja diskutiert. Konkrete Schnittstellen zwischen beiden Bereichen bilden zum einen die Traditionen von den »Erzeltern« und zum anderen der »Exodus« als Vorstellung vom Auszug der Israeliten aus Ägypten. [Ancestor and Exodus Traditions in Second Isaiah] The contributions to this conference volume place Pentateuch studies and Isaiah studies together in a constructive and critical dialogue. Similarities and differences between texts of the Pentateuch and Deutero-Isaiah are discussed under various aspects. Specific connections between the two areas include the »Ancestor« traditions and the »Exodus« as a notion of the Israelites' exodus from Egypt. The articles discuss the relationship between the Pentateuch and Deutero-Isaiah in terms of theological content and literary history: Are there literary dependencies, and if so, to what extent? Die Untersuchung setzt sich kritisch mit der klassischen These eines neuen Exodus in der ältesten deuterojesajanischen Schriftprophetie (Jesaja 40–52) auseinander. Deuterojesaja war nicht als theologische Werbeschrift zum Auszug aus Babylon, sondern von vornherein als heilsprophetische Variation einer konventionellen altorientalischen Städtetheologie konzipiert. Die Erschaffung des Weges für Jakob-Israel und die Verwandlung der Wüste und des Meeres stehen im Zusammenhang der reaktivierten Königsherrschaft JHWHs auf dem Zion. Ein neuer Exodus wird lediglich in den redaktionellen Versen Jes 51,10b–11; 52,11f. nachgewiesen. Diese stellen schon einen Bezug zu protojesajanischen Texten sowie Jesaja 60–62 her. Erst in diesem Stadium sind markante Bezüge zu einer bereits nachpriesterschriftlichen Exodus-Landnahmeerzählung im Hexateuch nachweisbar. [The Desert, the Sea and the Transformation of Zion. A Critical Contextualization of the New Exodus in Isaiah 40–52] The study critically examines the classic thesis of a new exodus in the oldest Deutero-Isaiah scriptural prophecy (Isaiah 40-52). Deutero-Isaiah was not conceived as a theological advertising pamphlet about the exodus from Babylon, but from the outset as a salvation-prophetic variation of a common ancient oriental urban theology. The creation of the way for Jacob-Israel and the transformation of the desert and the sea are in the context of YHWH's reactivated kingship on Zion. A new exodus is only mentioned in the editorial verses Isaiah 51:10b–11; 52.11f. proven. These already establish a connection to proto-Isaiah texts in addition to Isaiah 60–62. Only at this stage can striking references to a post-priestly written exodus narrative in the Hexateuch be detected.

English summary: In the theological study of the later Psalms, the major lines of Old Testament theology converge as in a concave mirror. A pivotal question here is the reflection of their own history, on which the historical Psalms 78, 105, 106, 135 and 136, as they are classified by researchers, placed their emphasis. Each of the historical Psalms creates memories in its own specific way of salvific primordial time of the exodus and the possession of the land in order to reinterpret their own present time in prayer. Judith Gartner describes this identity-forming function of history is in connection with a discourse in cultural studies on collective memory. Against the backdrop of current research on the Psalms, the author shows that the historical Psalms are key hermeneutic texts in the Psalter and analyzes them in view of the composition and redaction of the Psalter.
