This is an exceptional volume which expands upon the World Phenomenology Institute’s recent research: the study of the beautiful intertwining of the skies and the cosmos with the human pursuits of philosophy, literature and the arts. The relationship of humans to the cosmos is examined through the exploration of phenomenology, metaphysics and the arts. The authors of this volume write on a variety of topics which all seek to open the reader’s eyes to the relationship of humans and our perception of our place in the cosmos. This volume offers a framework in which to present a rich panorama; a variety of perspectives illustrating how the perception of the interplay between human beings and the celestial realm advances in common experience and worldviews. This attempt to uncover our cosmic position is a great and worthwhile intellectual challenge. Philosophy as well as literature and the arts are nourished by this human quest for knowledge and understanding.

Welcome to the spirit world. Allow me to introduce you to the universe of metaphysics. Based on my personal experiences this book explains the fundamental concepts of psychic phenomena. While in the spirit world my thoughts and emotions were shared first by my friend Ruth, and later by others as though we had one mind. I felt their fears and desires, their awe and adventurous spirit. They knew mine as well. Yet back in our body we could only communicate through the spoken word. We journeyed to the land of the dead, danced in the eternal light, delved into spirit worlds none of us dreamed existed. Specters of the dark side guided us through their realms: Shaman in the twilight wolf wilderness, Spirit Bird in the Valley Of The Birds, Joel the medieval Irishman in the Record Of All Time. Ruth and I thought our travels together were wondrous accidents until it happened again and again. Each experience was more complex and powerful than the last. Our journeys were never planned, nor did we discuss beforehand places we had discovered while there alone. Neither of us wanted to plant subconscious hints as to where we should go or what we should do. But once we were there we led each other to our secret places, dimensions, and past lives of which the other person had no knowledge. This book tells of my experiences on the astral planes with Ruth, alone, and with other travelers. It also includes explanations of metaphysical topics such as astral travel, channeling, and metaphysical energy. This should help you to understand the goings-on during my journeys as well as afford you a sound base for further investigations. Take my hand and let us begin our voyage.

The Night Sky Updated And Expanded Edition written by Richard Grossinger and has been published by North Atlantic Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-09-30 with Science categories.

Ever since Homo sapiens first looked up at the stars, we as a species have been looking for meaning in the mysteries of the night sky. Over the millennia, as our knowledge, science, and technology developed, the stories we told ourselves about the universe and our place in it developed as well. In The Night Sky, Richard Grossinger traces those developments, covering multiple aspects of humanity's complex relationship to the cosmos. Covering not only astronomy but also cosmology, cosmogony, astrology, and science fiction, he offers us a revelatory look at the firmament through his own telescope, fitted with an anthropological lens. Throughout his explorations, Grossinger continually reflects on the deeper meaning of our changing concepts about the universe and creation, offering insight into how each new discovery causes us to redefine the values, moralities, and aesthetics by which we live. He also calls into question the self-aggrandizing notion that humanity can and will conquer all, and injects our strident confidence in science with a healthy dose of humility and wonder. Filled with poetic observation and profound questions, The Night Sky is a brilliant reflection of humanity's relationship with the cosmos--a relationship fed by longing, doubt, and awe.

These and other topics are explored while navigating the awakening journey from an empath's perspective. And as she concludes, the awakening process is never ending. This is a short book written mostly in prose, with artistic illustrations, and a few original poems by the author.

2013 written by Richard Grossinger and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010 with First philosophy categories.

For the Earth to move to the next vibration, says Richard Grossinger, consciousness must change in profound ways, and these involve core elements of humanity: evil, grief, bliss, and compassion. 2013 locates these elements in often unlikely places and seeks their nature and capacity for change. With playfulness and precision, 2013 tackles the questions of creation and existence in their twenty-first-century incarnation. In these intellectual field notes, the author's absorbing style combines memoir with scientific deconstruction, metaphysical ontology, and experimental prose that recalls the Black Mountain school to draw transcendental insight from the ephemeral space-time we call daily life. Moving with equal ease between matters cosmic and earthly, Grossinger details existence as an exhilarating adventure always pushing us toward a higher state in this wide-ranging, humorous, and heartfelt book. Including an informal course in psychic development, 2013 sheds light on the ephemera of planets and iPods, politics and Zen, Buddy Holly and road trips in its study of the elements of psychic development that could transform humankind and the Earth.

Heidegger From Metaphysics To Thought written by Dominique Janicaud and has been published by SUNY Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1995-01-01 with Philosophy categories.

"Philosophy has come to an end" claimed Heidegger in the final posthumous interview he granted to Der Spiegel. The goal of Janicaud's chapters ("Overcoming Metaphysics?," "Heideggeriana," "Metamorphosis of the Undecidable," and the dialogue "Heidegger in New York") first of all is to clarify the project of "overcoming" metaphysics, a project that Heidegger himself recognized as open to innumerable misunderstandings. Is it really possible to surmount metaphysics, not by transgressing it, but by means of a patient elucidation of its key concepts? In the effort to underscore the originality of his own enterprise, doesn't Heidegger tend to project too harsh a dichotomy between the forgetfulness of Being and its authentic recollection? By raising these questions, Janicaud suggests that Heidegger himself does not elude the objections that he directs toward the great metaphysical thinkers. The final recourse to dialogue in the midst of twentieth-century New York - a landscape intentionally "different" from one expectedly Heideggerian - intends to hint at another possibility than the indefinite deconstruction of metaphysical texts. It suggests new ways for thoughtful meditation and a new cast for action. At the center of the book, Mattei evokes the "Heideggerian Chiasmus or the Setting-apart of Philosophy." Through an inquiry into the major Heideggerian texts produced between 1935 and 1969 and inspired by Holderlin's poetry, Mattei gradually detects the cosmic figure of the Geviert, the initial Fourfold where "earth and sky, the divine ones and the mortals" gather. Such a community, whose meaning Heidegger is the only one to decipher in our times, silently conforms to what is truly the archaic path to philosophy. The cosmic game of the Geviert also evokes, for Heidegger, the path of the Tao in the Chinese tradition. In this epoch characterized by the destruction of ontology, the two paths in which East and West meet may grant us moderns the hope one day of "dwelling" in the world.

So we go on through and beyond to the mysterious world of the child-the world where everything is peace and joy and love. And by this world we mean only one thing: we have come to an inner experience of reality. Whatever our faith may be, or whatever our world may be, here is fulfillment. Here is the vision to take on for the first time our real labors in the universe. From this point on, we begin to know why we exist, what we are supposed to do, and how we can serve. We become one with the Law of Enlightenment. Thus, by this mysterious stepping through the circle in the heart of enlightenment, we move into the beginning of a true birth-a birth not in time, but in eternity. A birth not in body but in principle, in truth, and in reality. In this way we find the elusive child. We discover the home of this mysterious child who lives beyond the stars. Our problem, therefore, is to try to understand, as much as we can, some of the essential concepts that enlightenment has left to the world. Of course, the greatest of these concepts is the mystery of the child itself. To understand we must try to sit down, perhaps as a child, and experience the world. We must experience the direct impact of the child-not the impact of interpretation, not the struggling of the mind to understand, but the simple, direct acceptance, as of a child, of the mystery and wonder of life itself. - www.innercirclepublishing.com

Earth And Sky History And Philosophy written by Galen A. Johnson and has been published by Peter Lang Incorporated, International Academic Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1989 with History categories.

This book is a philosophical inquiry into historical meaning and narrative understanding. Interpreting selected writings of Husserl and Merleau-Ponty, and stories of Kafka, Rilke, Sartre, and Camus, the author defends the narrative coherence of life and the irreducibility of narrative understanding and truth. The island imagery uncovered in these authors provides the parameters for a contemporary philosophy of history properly mingling earth and sky as natality and mortality, remembering and forgetting, wandering and homecoming, waking and dreaming, wealth and poverty. Johnson has pushed the life-world theme of Husserl's phenomenology out toward the wild-flowering world where it seems to have been headed.
