La parola anima, nell'attraversare i più svariati sistemi di pensiero (filosofico, religioso, antropologico, psicologico), genera una serie di equivoci in cui si nascondono vertiginose variazioni di significato. Percorrendole è possibile scorgere gli spostamenti di volumi di senso e le migrazioni linguistiche da cui dipendono le epoche storiche e gli scenari da esse dischiusi. L'analisi di Galimberti muove da Platone, che gioca l'anima su un doppio registro, coniugandola da un lato con la costruzione della ragione e il governo di sé, dall'altro con l'abisso della follia e la dissoluzione dell'individuo. Da allora in poi, questi due registri non hanno cessato di condizionare la costruzione dei saperi, sempre insidiata sul piano teorico dalle oscillazioni delle opinioni e sul piano pratico dalla vertigine delle passioni, in quel gioco di maschere, assunte e dismesse dall'anima, a cui non sfugge che ogni nuova parola della ragione non è possibile se non liberando a ogni istante i frammenti di una segreta follia. Prima e dopo Nietzsche, Plotino e la Gnosi, Schopenhauer e il romanticismo, Freud e la psicoanalisi, Husserl e la fenomenologia, Heidegger e l'ermeneutica hanno tentato di liberare l'anima dal giogo dell'idea ma la loro opposizione al platonismo si è rivelata di segno uguale anche se contrario..

Roberto Esposito is one of the most prolific and important exponents of contemporary Italian political theory. Bíos-his first book to be translated into English-builds on two decades of highly regarded thought, including his thesis that the modern individual-with all of its civil and political rights as well as its moral powers-is an attempt to attain immunity from the contagion of the extraindividual, namely, the community. Il filosofo di Monziglia o dell'impostore Umberto Galimberti dimostra in modo inoppugnabile che L'ospite inquietante è una frode: un capolavoro di plagi e imposture, che Galimberti avrebbe fabbricato "perché i giovani, anche se non sempre ne sono consci, stanno male", quindi per propinar loro un elisir di "salvezza"?, così sembra, perché nel 2008 a Le Storie il sapiente Corrado Augias infine lo raccomandò dicendo ai telespettatori: "Questo è un libro importante perché racconta che cosa sono diventati i giovani e nel racconto c'è nascosto anche forse un tentativo di salvezza." Ma "importante" è piuttosto leggere Il filosofo di Monziglia, un libro che narra "che cosa è diventata" la funzione intellettuale nell'allegro Belpaese dei morti viventi, e nel nostro racconto non c'è nascosto, bensì esposto in evidenza il redditizio malaffare dell'"emerito professore di filosofia morale" e dis-educatore dei giovani Umberto Galimberti. Con la colossale impostura L'ospite inquietante. Il nichilismo e i giovani, Galimberti ha gabellato la favola di un "nichilismo" personificato, che in veste di seducente Satanasso "si aggira tra loro", cioè tra i giovani, e usando stuzzicanti lusinghe, "penetra nei loro sentimenti, confonde i loro pensieri, cancella prospettive e orizzonti, fiacca la loro anima, intristisce le passioni rendendole esangui", insomma, succhierebbe ai giovani inermi la loro anima per una manciata di spicciole illusioni. Ma così, a sua insaputa?, il nichilista Galimberti ha descritto gli effetti intossicanti che la lettura del libro-frode L'ospite inquietante. Il nichilismo e i giovani ha inoculato nella mente non solo dei giovani, ma anche di genitori e insegnanti, e ancora seguita ad avvelenarli, dato che L'ospite inquietante non è affatto "forse un tentativo di salvezza", bensì una seducente impostura che instilla una morbosa e corrosiva confusione mentale... Perciò non sono i giovani, ma senz'altro Galimberti e i suoi "parenti" che sguazzano in "quel nulla che li pervade e li affoga", come indubbiamente dimostra Il filosofo di Monziglia o dell'impostore Umberto Galimberti.
