If you are studying at university, this Study Smart Planner is for you. Do you always feel you're racing against the clock, and that you don't seem to have control over anything in your study life? At the moment, you may rush around to attend one lecture after another, and have mountains of assignments and tight deadlines. Then you realise the exams are coming, and you haven't got the chance to prepare for them. At the end of the semester, you may get mediocre grades for all your subjects. Everything feels touch and go. You may have a long to-do list every day. But at the end of each day, the major tasks are still there, not crossed off. They remain on your to-do list for the whole semester. Perhaps you long for a better routine for your everyday studying. But you can't get up in the morning and go to sleep at a reasonable time. You feel grumpy and drift through the day, wishing for a better tomorrow. You may get anxious about your job hunt in the near future. You haven't enrolled in career prep activities or you've dropped out of them. Your transcript may be passable, but far from perfect. You don't have a clue how to write your CV. And finding an internship seems daunting and impossible. Well, you're not alone. Please don't beat yourself up. None of these means you're not a good student. Studying at university is very demanding. Beyond the exciting university place offer, there are a lot of responsibilities. Now you are in charge of your life: You're the boss of your studying. You're the boss of your wellbeing and fitness. You're the boss of your relationships (families, friends and peers). You're the boss of your daily chores. That's super-exciting. However, you're new to all this. You need to learn how to be the boss and manage your life. You need to learn this skill quickly. The Study Smart Planner is the perfect tool for you. It'll encourage you to set your ultimate high-mark goal at the beginning of a new semester, and guide you to achieve that goal step by step. It'll provide you with an executive overview of the semester. You can plan your studying at three levels: monthly, weekly and daily. And at the end of each time span, you can check your progress. If your progress matches with your plan, you can pat yourself on the back. If your progress has lagged behind a bit, you can identify the cause, make some adjustments and move on. This organiser will help you keep track of all your commitments and deadlines on a monthly and weekly basis. On a daily basis, it'll inspire you, reveal your true progress, make you feel good and encourage you to reflect upon what you've learned through the day. For all the above benefits, you need only spend ten minutes a day working with your High-Mark Study Organiser. It's so intuitive to use; everyone can grab it and use it straight away. And I assure you, you'll feel an immediate lift: You'll establish a better daily routine. You'll feel energized and excited every day. You'll cross off those important tasks on your to-do list. And you may feel ready to send out your CV or even line up a job interview. Please don't wait. You're ready now. Let the Study Smart Planner help you become what you desire and deserve to be: a highly successful university student.

One Day One Problem written by Glen O'Grady and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-04-13 with Education categories.

One-day, one-problem is a unique adaptation of problem-based learning (PBL) pioneered at Republic Polytechnic, Singapore. Here students are challenged each day with a problem from their domain and attain the necessary learning outcomes in the process of responding to the problem. Throughout the day students would engage in small group discussions, self-directed learning and conversations with their teacher who plays the role of a facilitator. This approach to learning and instruction represents a new brand of constructivist learning in a more structured learning environment compared to conventional PBL. This book contains a series of chapters by authors with first-hand experience in the One-day,one-problem PBL approach. Unlike other books on PBL, the chapters are both research-informed and practical. Results of empirical studies into the factors of PBL such as quality of problems, tutor behaviours, scaffoldings, student learning and interest are discussed together with practical implications for the educator. The book begins with an overview of the one-day, one-problem process, providing a viewpoint from both the student and tutor. Republic Polytechnic’s pedagogical philosophy and epistemological belief of education are introduced with the intent to share how the polytechnic designed and implemented a system that supports the philosophical beliefs. Results and practical implications of empirical studies on the various factors that influence students’ learning in PBL are discussed. These include the quality of problems and the use of scaffoldings for students’ learning, tutors as facilitators, preparation of staff for PBL, student assessment, how students learn in the process of PBL and student interest.
