This book is intended to provide insights to companies interested in growing and in improving their administrative processes. Usually, we are all thinking about selling, depositing the checks, finding people, shipping products or delivering projects, and the administrative process are for most CEO’s not relevant. Actually, we all heard many CEO’s saying: I don’t care how you do it, but get it done! But the “How To” becomes extremely important to be efficient, have control of the operation, and obtain the right data out of the system. It is too easy to be caught up in the frenzy of the day, chasing people, products, orders, checks, and accounting tends to receive little focus for many. This is why I worked on this book. Every CEO should pay attention that once you did your first few steps as an entrepreneur (getting customers and start operating) there are formalities you need to have in order to guarantee registering all data correctly. Not just for the Department of Revenue or the IRS, but also for you. At the end of the day, the most valuable component in your business is your data. That is why having a secured, efficient and auditable system of record to store your data and be able to exploit that data via KPI’s Dashboards and reports becomes critical for your success. This book is not intended to teach experienced consultant how to implement their ERP. But rather to give the newcomers to the ERP world an insight of that they should do to implement a system successfully. This is not just my opinion, but because I used ChatGPT to write this book, the contents are what it is on the internet available already. I directly the information in order to give it a structure that made sense to me. Most implementation partners already have their own methodology, that is why this books is intended to companies that are planning to implement an ERP for the first time. Many companies put more focus in the Change Management, other ignore it completely. We can’t stress how important it is to have a Project Manager or at least one person responsible for gathering the data and preparing the data and to be the sole point of contact with the partner that is implementing the system with you. Last, I want to give many thanks to Joe Martin and Jose Fernandez Calvo for giving me ideas in how to use GPT-3 OpenAI large-scale language-generation model (aka ChatGPT) and in helping me with the technicalities not related to ERP implementation but rather in publishing this book. I also want to thank the team at Consultare America LLC that cheered when I told them that I was writing this book and encouraged me to finish it

Enterprise Resource Planning written by K. Ganesh and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-06-18 with Business & Economics categories.

This book introduces the fundamental principles of understanding business requirements to apply enterprise resource planning (ERP) in order to meet business needs. The book also helps readers understand the usage of ERP for monitoring and controlling business processes, while providing practical oriented solutions to the design and implementation of ERP. Using the provided framework, a business can decide to provide more value at lower cost which increases its competitive advantage. This should be an ideal reference for executives, researchers and consultants in project management of ERP. ERP can be considered to be an integrated package of business process. The scope of ERP determines the extent of automation of business process. For example if ERP covers Human Resource (HR) and finance business processes only, then business process related HR and finance are automated. Typically business process that are automated in HR and finance employee entry and exist process, allocation of employee ID, payroll, processing , income tax planning and actual deduction etc. There is seamless flow of employee data and information is available at an effectively faster rate to take appropriate decision. As custom demand increases, there is a need to meet the changing scenario with speed and efficiency. While there is a need to increase productivity, there is also a need to reduce cost of operation. The repetitive business processes can be handled effectively by automating them and freeing human resources for meeting other uncertainties. These automations not only should be done for each department, but also should cut across different departments. Thus there is a need for automating business processes at enterprise level. This enterprise level automation started with MRP, then MRP II, ERP and then finally open source ERP have taken centre stage. Out of the standard products available in the market, an organization can chose an ERP product for implementation, depending on the features available and the total cost of ownership (TCO). This comparison helps an organization to choose the product that best suits the needs for the organization. Enterprise Resource Planning: Fundamentals of Design and Implementation highlights these concepts while discusses different good practices to design and implement ERP.

Does the implementation of Microsoft DynamicsTM contribute to the goals of your company? Does your company itself have the capacity to build a bridge between the Business and IT? Can your employees adopt a flexible attitude on all the related changes ? And, probably even more important, is that what they are also willing to do? If you are striving for a full-hearted yes to these questions, this is the book for you. Regatta Dynamics, our methodology for the structured implementation of Microsoft DynamicsTM, is based on our firm belief that when you implement Microsoft DynamicsTM there must be a balance between the Business and IT. The consistency and cohesion between the different underlying work streams are hereby of overriding importance for the ultimate result. In this book, we answer the questions mentioned above and describe pragmatically the full implementation process from A to Z. Emphasis is placed on the organizational component of the implementation process and the cohesion with functional and technical processes. In our opinion, by involving the organization properly during the change process, your company can benefit much more and much faster from Microsoft DynamicsTM. Next to being a blueprint for the implementation complexity, this book can also be used as a guideline for daily practice. This book is therefore interesting for project - and line managers, key-users, IT-managers and implementation consultants. The authors are both working in the field of implementation. While writing this book they have drawn from their many years of experience in this field within Sogeti Netherlands. Wherever possible the authors have tried to change every challenge from unmanageable to comprehensive and, based on clearly separated sequences, the pluriform reality of implementation has been reduced to acceptable proportions that can be planned and managed. Main goal to achieve is to continuously create a tangible and remarkablybetter result for organizations who are considering implementing Microsoft DynamicsTM.
