In the same way as there are many futures, not just one, there are many ways to conceive and practice foresight. The challenge of the great turning point of our civilization is to free ourselves from our prejudices in order to imagine and build desirable futures. The process is, by nature, ethical and prospective. In a complex, uncertain and geopolitically transforming world, we must be open to the diversity of cultures and the different perceptions of the future. This requires us to reflect on the purpose and means of our societies. Futures proposes different cultural and ethical views on civilizational transformation by offering a rare, transnational panorama of the visions of the future in a European, American and Chinese context. Through numerous examples, this book illustrates how foresight is practiced and what this can achieve in strategic terms.

The increasing urgency of environmental issues necessitates the rethinking of our societal model. This book explores this assertion by going back in time and pinpointing the turning points in the evolution of European society that we are currently experiencing. Productive Economy, Contributory Economy presents an analysis of the factors affecting the evolution of our societal model, emerging from sedentarism, which culminated in the industrial age. To further this evolution, we must allow the common good to prosper: family, knowledge, innovation, democracy and spirituality. This book presents a dual contributory and productive economy to be put into place, as well as the synergy that can be established between these two spaces of human contribution. It also studies the instruments of governance that we will need, such as smart money, as well as the conditions of their success.

Faced with global economic, social and environmental challenges requiring us to go beyond individual actions, the development of collective dynamics is the ideal response. From this perspective, territories, which have long been neglected, are now asserting themselves as breeding grounds for innovative and relevant forms of organized action in response to shared experiences. Bringing together more than twenty researchers in strategic management, human resources management and marketing, Collective Dynamics and Territories offers, through nine territorial issues (innovating and regenerating territories, building environmental action, attracting and retaining talent, etc.), insights into the conditions and modalities for developing collective dynamics within territories. The success of local collective dynamics depends on support for the actors involved, from situation analysis to problem definition, including idea generation, selection, implementation and evaluation. This book offers a comprehensive, systemic and operational vision for analyzing and acting on collective territorial dynamics.

Eco Design And Ecological Transition written by Marie-France Vernier and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-02-28 with Political Science categories.
Successive IPCC reports consistently stress the devastating impact of human activity on the climate. An ecological transition seems essential to modify our economic and social system, while meeting the needs of current and future generations. As the main culprits of environmental destruction, companies must modify their production methods to reduce their negative impact on the environment. Eco Design and Ecological Transition presents an innovative approach to eco design, a method that aims to offer products or services with a reduced environmental impact compared to conventional production methods, from the extraction of resources to the end of the product's life. The book also analyzes the potential of the circular economy and frugal innovation. It shows that innovation, to be sustainable, must be both environmentally and socially sustainable. From a systemic point of view, it examines the ability of players, particularly companies, to change their strategies in order to combine human well-being and respect for the environment in the context of ecological transition.

Digital transformation has shaped a new landscape for companies and their customers, offering companies a wealth of data with which to develop customer knowledge. However, this evolution is just one of many transformations in customer marketing within an increasingly complex reality, thrown into turmoil by environmental and social changes. New frontiers in customer relations strategies are thus being drawn, some in new territories grounded in efforts to preserve scarce resources, while others are built on expectations of social responsibility. These profound societal changes also reveal darker frontiers, where companies have insufficient ethical considerations for vulnerable customers, or merely react to changes in legislation. New Frontiers of Customer Strategy offers practitioners, lecturers and students an up-to-date reflection on the role of customer relations now and in the future, to keep pace with environmental, digital, inclusive and ethical issues, as well as organizational governance.

Reinventing Territories Through Solidarity written by Didier Chabaud and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-07-29 with Business & Economics categories.
While territories have always faced multiple challenges, the addition of ecological transition to economic, cultural and social issues complicates matters considerably. Transition calls for new perspectives. The reinvention of territories through solidarity appears to be a particularly relevant approach as it allows us to draw on the many innovations brought about by players in the social and solidarity economy (SSE). To illustrate this point, the book brings together case studies that bear witness to their astonishing ability to link the economy and local democracy to ensure the sustainability of their activities. These case studies illustrate a renewed vision of territorial development based on cooperation between the SSE, local authorities, entrepreneurs and citizens. Subsequently, they usher in a new way of thinking about public action, in which solidarity players undertake an important role, in co-constructing with local public players, systems capable of meeting the major challenges of our time.
