In today’s digital age, online and mobile advertising are of growing importance, with advertising no longer bound to the traditional media industry. In diesem Buch geht es um die Herausbildung neuer Lernformen und veränderte Qualifikationsanforderungen durch neue Technologien. Zu den elaboriertesten Ansätzen gehören heute Manuel Castells' vielbeachtete Studie zur Gesellschaft des Informationszeitalters, Daniell Bells klassisches Konzept der "post-industriellen Gesellschaft" und die vom Managementtheoretiker Peter Drucker konzipierte "Wissensgesellschaft". Das Buch führt in diese drei Konzeptionen ein und liefert eine vergleichende Gegenüberstellung der Ansätze, um einen theoretischen Zugang zur Informationsgesellschaft zu eröffnen.
