Al igual que el Derecho avanza con los cambios sociales, con el paso del tiempo también surgen nuevas formas de enseñar Derecho. El planteamiento que subyace en la obra, es que la renovación de la enseñanza del Derecho del Trabajo es del todo necesaria, ante el profundo cambio en la sociedad en general, fruto entre otros motivos, de la disrupción de las TICs y acelerado con la situación de pandemia por COVID. La obra pone en manos del lector los resultados de varios Proyectos de Innovación Docente, desarrollados por el Grupo: Seguridad, Control de Fronteras, Migraciones y Derechos Humanos (GID 2016/16), al amparo de las convocatorias del Instituto Universitario de Educación a Distancia (IUED) de la UNED, durante los cursos académicos 2019-20 y 2020-21. Todos ellos han aplicado la herramienta del Aprendizaje-Servicio y han sido posibles gracias a la colaboración con la Dirección General de Innovación y Estrategia Social del Ayuntamiento de Madrid. Las experiencias se refieren a cuestiones de gran trascendencia social como la Trata y otros abusos de Derechos humanos en contextos de prostitución y los Puntos de Encuentro Familiar, y están conectadas con varios de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. La gran novedad de las mismas reside en completar el análisis experto sobre ambos programas desarrollados por el Consistorio de la capital con el parecer de los estudiantes, reflejado en la propuesta de indicadores para evaluar los dos Programas del Ayuntamiento de la capital sobre dichos temas y, lo que es más importante, con sus experiencias y opiniones acerca de tres cuestiones esenciales: la propia herramienta del Aprendizaje-Servicio, el desarrollo de los Proyectos y la propuesta de indicadores sociales para evaluar los Puntos de Encuentro Familiar.

The book is based on the exchange of professional experiences which featured in an IUCN CEC workshop in August 2002. Practitioners from around the world shared their models of good practice and explored the challenges involved in engaging people in sustainability. The difficulties facing practitioners vary between country and context but some challenges are universal: A lack of clarity in communicating what is meant by sustainable development; An ambition to educate everyone to bring about a global citizenship; Social, organisational or institutional factors constrain change to sustainable development, yet there is an emphasis on formal education, and community educators do not receive the same support; A lack of balance in addressing the integration of environmental, social and economic dimensions leading to an interpretation that ESD is mainly about environment and conservation issues; New learning (rather than teaching) approaches are called for to promote more debate in society.
