Appetite written by Melissa A. Fabello and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-11-16 with Psychology categories.

The first comprehensive resource on anorexia and women’s sexuality in the world, this book presents a model for understanding sexuality as complex with interconnected factors, and how anorexia interacts with the varied components of one’s sexuality. Challenging the limiting views of sexuality that research on women with anorexia and sex has yielded, Dr. Fabello centers real women’s narratives to explore the various ways in which this population wrestles with sexual health, violence, intimacy, identity, and more. Included is unprecedented research on how women’s level of desire for sensual touch interacts with body image, body perception, and a unique need for sexual autonomy. Written in an honest voice, Appetite bridges the gap between academia and practicality, using grounded language that appeals to professionals and survivors alike.

This book is one of the best books ever written on the subject of how to achieve your Ascension in this lifetime, in a balanced and integrated manner. A great many people and lightworkers are working on achieving their Ascension or Self Realization; however, they are focusing on a Spiritual level and not integrating their Ascension or Self Realization on a Psychological and Physical/Earthly level. This book is one of the few books available that teaches readers in a very easy to understand and practical manner, how to achieve this on all three levels of your being (Mind/Body/Spirit) in an integrated and balanced manner. This book is totally revolutionary and cutting edge! Absolutely electrifying reading!

This book aims at making explicit the scientific theories, termed paradigms, that the author has found useful in psychoanalysis. It lists nine paradigms: genetics, neurobiology, attachment theory, infant research, trauma, their relational model, the family system, the socio-cultural level, and prehistory. These nine paradigms are presented in as many chapters. Special attention is devoted to attachment theory, which the author considers to be the most powerful conceptual tool at the disposal of the psychoanalyst. He also covers trauma, the relational model - with special reference to Ferenczi, Bowlby and Fromm. He explores the effect of cultural evolution, with the advent of agriculture, on family and character structures and the resulting discontinuity with the individual, or group's inborn needs, giving rise to an unnatural environment, and thus to psychopathology and pathology at a social level, such as war. The consequence of these combined factors gives rise to the need for psychotherapy, this is explored, together with the role of the therapist and the therapy of psychoses,

Integrating Psychotherapy And Psychophysiology written by Patrick Steffen and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-05-08 with Psychology categories.

In recent years there has been growing interest in exploring how psychophysiology can be used to enhance psychotherapeutic interventions, and it is becoming more common for psychotherapists to use psychophysiological approaches such as biofeedback as a part of their therapy. Integrating Psychotherapy and Psychophysiology explores how these fields can be integrated to improve therapy outcomes, and to provide a guide to professionals in the field. Structured in three parts, the first part focuses on theories underlying psychotherapy/psychophysiology integration with chapters on the neuroscience of mind, evolution and compassion, heart rate variability and mind/body integration, and affect and understanding the world. The second part focuses on assessment aspects of psychotherapy/ psychophysiology integration with chapters on the NIH Research Domain Criteria (RDoC) approach to assessment of psychopathology from a psychophysiological perspective, personality as a central factor in stress and cardiovascular reactivity and using the RDoC framework to understand and conceptualize personality. Finally, the third part focuses on approaches to integrating psychophysiology into psychotherapy, emphasizing heart rate variability biofeedback. The book will be valuable for all psychotherapists who are looking to improve their practice by integrating effective mind/body principles into their therapeutic approach.
