Die Geschäftsführung entschied sich für den Aufbau eines neuen Werks in China. Vor Ort soll der dementsprechende Auslandsmarkt bedient werden. Diese Ausarbeitung soll die zukünftigen Führungskräfte für das Werk vor Antritt der neuen Position vorbereiten und einen Leitfaden darstellen. Die kulturellen Unterschiede und Besonderheiten sollen sowohl erklärt als auch mit in den Arbeitskontext passenden Beispielen verdeutlicht werden. Der Leitfaden soll als Hilfestellung für die Führungskraft betrachtet werden, denn ohne ein angemessenes interkulturelles Wissen und die Sensibilität für die andere Kultur wird die internationale Zusammenarbeit, trotz der besten Fachkenntnisse, keinen Erfolg haben. Als Einführung wird im ersten Teil dieser Arbeit das Land China kurz beschrieben, der Begriff Kultur definiert, sowie die Besetzungsstrategie für das neue Werk in China anhand des EPRG-Modells von Perlmutter erläutert. Besondere Beachtung finden im weiteren Verlauf die Konzepte zu verschiedenen Kulturdimension von Hofstede, Hall und Rotter. Die Unterschiede zwischen den Kulturen in Deutschland und China sollen deutlich dargestellt werden. Im Abschluss folgt ein kurzes Fazit zu den herausgearbeiteten Ergebnissen.
