La intertextualidad es un hecho cultural de amplia y difundida presencia y de ancestral antigüedad. El planteamiento intertextual en el espacio de los estudios literarios no sólo aporta los supuestos teóricos para el estudio de las relaciones que mantienen entre sí las distintas creaciones, sino que también ayuda a explicar aspectos de la creación y de la recepción literaria. En este volumen se ha reunido un conjunto de estudios que señalan distintas muestras intertextuales junto a estudios relacionados con la formación lectora. La obra se ha organizado en dos bloques: en primer lugar, los estudios que presentan una muestra de la diversidad de intertextos --en el discurso literario, entre éste y otros códigos, en los diversos géneros, las vinculaciones entre lo literario y las artes visuales, etc--. El segundo bloque recoge los estudios relacionados con la formación del lector, el desarrollo de la habilidad lectora y el desarrollo de la competencia literaria.

The book examines the links between literature and film in Latin America by using queer theory and a series of recent cultural productions whose arguments destabilize traditional gender roles and heteronormative masculinity. For many years, the connections between a literary text and its film adaptation have been considered only from the point of view of the latter’s fidelity to the written work, which many scholars imagined to be the original that filmmakers needed to respect. Within the last two decades, however, the idea of adaptation fidelity has been challenged by a number of critics who refute the existence of an original text and promote the notion of an ambiguous and complex relationship between a literary work and its film adaptation. Based on such developments and with the help of queer theory, this book questions and revises several crucial theoretical approximations that analyze the relations between the two art forms in an attempt to overcome the limitations of fidelity discourse. This is the first book-length study that seeks to examine, with the appropriate detail, the connections between film and literature in Latin America through the lenses of queer theory and by focusing on the representations of numerous practices that do not fit within the general framework of heteronormative sexuality.

The verse-by-verse commentary on the Ovidian text includes the reading of more than 300 manuscripts, including the so-called Heinsian manuscripts, and of almost 100 editions, from the two "editiones principes" of 1471 to the present day. The introduction describes the manuscripts used, and a history of the Ovidian editions is also traced. A new text of book VI is presented, accompanied by a slim and lucid critical apparatus. Futher information appears in the commentary and in the appendices, particularly readings of manuscripts and editions. The verbatim commentary offers, with reliable quotes for each term, the critical observations of all the editors and commentators of the Ovidian work throughout the centuries. This aspect of critical edition has been neglected by commentators of Ovid since Heinsius (1659) and Burman (1727). Two appendices ("Readings of manuscripts" and "Readings of editions") are added for the first time for readers of the Ovidian work. The volume closes with a "Select index of textual problems", a large "Index locorum" and an "Index nominum".

Quienes atendemos a la producción literaria destinada a niños y adolescentes, partimos del supuesto de la especificidad de su objetivo: disfrutar con la imaginativa descodificación de un texto oral o escrito, fomentar la magia recreadora que conlleva toda interpretación de un mensaje verbal y entretener al destinatario mediante la creativa interacción que se establece entre el texto y el receptor. En la formación literaria, el intertexto lector es un componente decisivo que aporta los conocimientosdiversos que requiere el discurso literario. El intertexto lector y la competencia literaria están vinculados por la interrelación de sus aportaciones en la recepción, porque todo acto de lectura es una difícil transacción entre la competencia del lector (su conocimiento del mundo) y la clase de competencia que determinado texto postula con el fin de ser leído (U. Eco, 1992).El intertexto lector aporta los referentes para que la recepción sea completa, para que los indicios de este texto se relacionen con las concreciones de otra obra. En suma, el intertexto lector hace posible, significativa y personal la lectura de las distintas obras. La orientación de los más actuales enfoques para el tratamiento didáctico de la literaturasigue las relaciones entre el discurso y el lector. En ese espacio, el intertexto lector adquiere una señera relevancia porque, efectivamente, promueve los reconocimientos y las asociaciones entre distintos elementos discursivos, textuales, formales, temáticos, culturales, etc., y porque es el componente de la competencia literaria que establece las vinculaciones discursivas entre textos, necesarias para la pertinente interpretaciónpersonal.El análisis y conocimiento del intertexto del lector aporta un nuevo concepto para orientar la formación del lector hacia un conocimiento significativo de la literatura, que se determina mediante las relaciones que establece el propio lector, a través de su intertexto. El intertexto lector activa la participación personal en la comprensión del texto y potencia el disfrute de la recepción estética como una actividad personal e intima. Lascuestiones aquí tratadas se centran en la necesidad de presentar la literatura como una conexión de referentes discursivo-literarios y culturales y en considerar la lectura como base de la recepción literaria, como medio de enriquecimiento de la competencia literaria y lectora, como ampliación del intertexto lector y como proceso cognitivo y personal deconstrucción de significado y de comunicación literaria.

There have always been gaps, but a focus on the space between things is virtually synonymous with modernity. Often characterized as a break, modernity is a story of gaps. Around 1900, many independent strands of gap thought and experience interacted and interwove more intricately. "Drawing on recent scholarship in art, film, literary theory, and gender studies, A Web of Fantasies examines the complexities, symbolism, and interactions between gaze and image in Ovid's Metamorphoses and forms a gender-sensitive perspective. It is a feminist study of Ovid's epic, which includes many stories about change, in which discussions of viewers, viewing, and imagery strive to illuminate Ovid's constructions of male and female. Patricia Salzman-Mitchell discusses the text from the perspective of three types of gazes: of characters looking, of the poet who narrates visually charged stories, and of the reader who "sees" the woven images in the text. Arguing against certain theorists who deny the possibility of any feminine vision in a male-authored poem, the author maintains that the female point of view can be released through the traditional feminine occupation of weaving, featuring the woven images of Arachne (involved in a weaving contest in which she tried to best the goddess Athena, who turned her into a spider) and Philomela (who had her tongue cut out, so had to weave a tapestry depicting her rape and mutilation)." "The book observes that while feminist models of the gaze can create productive readings of the poem, these models are too limited and reductive for such a protean and complex text as Metamorphoses.
