Many people become dissuaded from applying for a job because they don't meet all of the requirements. The author, a German career columnist explains why this shouldn't (necessarily) scare them away. German angst rules HR departments and destroys career opportunities for international talent and everyone else who dares to be "different". He explains step by step how expatriates win jobs by side-lining clueless recruiters and building relationships with hiring managers. He will show you - step by step - how hundreds of ex-pats have bridged the gap between jobseeker and employers in Germany. I will share their best practices, which have worked for countless expatriates in Germany. They will work for you too. Many talented professionals struggle with an invisible enemy. They face obstacles and suffer the humiliation that they don't deserve.

This book analyses the employment effects of job creation schemes for participating individuals in Germany. Programs provide subsidized jobs that are additional in nature and of value for society. International evidence on their effectiveness suggests that programs should be targeted to the needs of the unemployed and should be offered early in the period of unemployment. Both questions are studied for job creation schemes in Germany.

Optimizing The German Workforce written by David Meskill and has been published by Berghahn Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010-04 with History categories.

During the twentieth century, German government and industry created a highly skilled workforce as part of an ambitious program to control and develop the country’s human resources. Yet, these long-standing efforts to match as many workers as possible to skilled vocations and to establish a system of job training have received little scholarly attention, until now. The author’s account of the broad support for this program challenges the standard historical accounts that focus on disagreements over the German political-economic order and points instead to an important area of consensus. These advances are explained in terms of political policies of corporatist compromise and national security as well as industry’s evolving production strategies. By tracing the development of these policies over the course of a century, the author also suggests important continuities in Germany’s domestic politics, even across such different regimes as Imperial, Weimar, Nazi, and post-1945 West Germany.
