Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Geschichte Deutschlands - Nachkriegszeit, Kalter Krieg, Note: 1,3, Europa-Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) (Kutlruwissenschaftliche Fakultät), Veranstaltung: Leben in der Trümmergesellschaft, Deutsche Geschichte 1945-1955, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Teilung Deutschlands, bzw. die damit einhergehende Spaltung der Welt in Ost und West, ist seit fast fünfzehn Jahren Geschichte. Rückblickend scheint, unter Berücksichtigung der unterschiedlichen politischen und ideologischen Ausrichtungen der Alliierten, eine Teilung Deutschlands als etwas historisch Unumgängliches. Betrachtet man aber die Entwicklung in der Mitte der 1940er Jahre genauer, scheinen im Speziellen die politischen Aktivitäten der Sowjets in Ost-Deutschland nicht den üblichen Kategorisierungen von Kommunismus und Stalinisierung zu entsprechen. Ausgerechnet in der sowjetischen Besatzungszone (SBZ) wurde auf Betreiben der sowjetischen Militäradministration (SMAD) ein Versuch der Demokratisierung begonnen. Mit der frühen Zulassung von Parteien und Verbänden unter der Zielvorstellung eines antifaschistisch-demokratischen Deutschlands erfolgte die Einbeziehung des deutschen Volkes, um am (politischen) Wiederaufbau Deutschlands mitzuwirken. Doch wie sind diese demokratischen Schritte der SMAD in Deutschland im Lichte der Geschichte zu beurteilen? Handelte es sich hierbei um politisches Kalkül, um die Umwandlung Deutschlands in einen sozialistischen Staat nach sowjetischem Vorbild einfacher gestalten zu können? In welchem Verhältnis stehen diese demokratischen Versuche mit der Gruppe Ulbricht, die mit klaren politischen Zielvorstellungen aus dem Exil nach Deutschland zurückgekehrt ist? Als Indikatoren dieser Entwicklungen in der SBZ sollen die Kulturpolitik und der „Kulturbund zur demokratischen Erneuerung Deutschlands“ herangezogen werden, die den Kern dieser Hausarbeit bilden. Der „Kulturbund zur demokratischen Erneuerung Deutschlands“, präsentierte einerseits die Hoffnungen vieler Künstler und Intellektueller auf ein neues, anderes, antifaschistisches Deutschland. Andererseits ist der Kulturbund auch ein kühl kalkuliertes Macht- und Propagandainstrument der SED-Diktatur zur Durchsetzung eines sozialistischen Staates geworden. Wie ist es zu dieser Entwicklung gekommen? Nach einer kurzen historischen Einordnung und allgemeiner Darstellung der Fakten und Ausrichtung alliierter Besatzungspolitik, soll sich eingehender mit der sowjetischen Kulturpolitik und dem „Kulturbund zur demokratischen Erneuerung Deutschlands“ beschäftigt werden. Anhand der Entwicklung der Kulturpolitik in der SBZ soll nachgewiesen werden, inwiefern das kulturelle und politische „Tauwetter“ der ersten Jahre als Wegbereiter und Hilfe der Institutionalisierung eines sozialistisch bzw. kommunistischen Staates nach sowjetischem Vorbild gedient hat und das es sich bei dieser Entwicklung von der antifaschistisch-demokratischen Ausrichtung hin zum Sozialismus keineswegs um eine zufällige Entwicklung gehalten hat, sondern diese als politisches Kalkül anzusehen ist.

Master's Thesis from the year 2003 in the subject Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, grade: 5.0, Nile Valley University, course: BSc, language: English, abstract: The objective of this book is to present a complete and up to date treatment of rectangular laminated plates with uniform cross sections. Dynamic Relaxation (DR) method is presented for the geometrically linear and nonlinear laterally loaded, rectangular laminated plates. The analysis uses the Mindlin plate theory which accounts for transverse shear deformation. A computer program has been compiled. The convergence and accuracy of the DR solutions for elastic small and large deflection response are established by comparison with various exact and approximate solutions. New numerical results are generated for uniformly loaded square laminated plates which serve to quantify the effects of shear deformation, material anisotropy, fiber orientation, and coupling between bending and stretching. It was found that linear analysis seriously over-predicts deflections of plates. The shear deflection depends greatly on a number of factors such as length/ thickness ratio, degree of anisotropy and number of layers. It was also found that coupling between bending and stretching can increase or decrease the bending stiffness of a laminate depending on whether it is positive or negative.
