En el beisbol existen numerosos coeficientes matematicos que persiguen la estimacion del rendimiento competitivo. En opinion del autor estos coeficientes pueden tornarse injustos, pues para sus evaluaciones utilizan indicadores que no dependen exclusivamente de las posibilidades de los jugadores de rendir en las diferentes situaciones de juego en que se ven involucrados. Ante esta situacion emerge el siguiente problema a resolver: Como perfeccionar el proceso de evaluacion del rendimiento competitivo de los jugadores de beisbol? Atendiendo a esto el objetivo de la investigacion se oriento a: Elaborar una metodologia para evaluar el rendimiento competitivo de los jugadores de beisbol de forma integral segun las posibilidades que tienen de rendir en diferentes situaciones de juego."
