#1 New York Times bestselling author John C. Maxwell can teach you how to turn any situation into a winning experience. No one wins at everything they try. But any setback, whether professional or personal, can become a step forward with the right tools and mindset to turn loss into a gain. Drawing on nearly 50 years of leadership experience, Maxwell provides a roadmap for winning by examining the eleven elements that constitute the "DNA" of people who succeed in the face of problems, failure, and losses. Learning is not easy during down times. It takes discipline to do the right thing when something goes wrong. As John Maxwell often points out, experience itself isn't the best teacher; evaluating, understanding, and growing from your experience is. By examining how that process works, you can learn how to take risks and tackle challenges with a successful person's outlook. Derived from material previous published in Sometime You Win -- Sometimes You Learn.

Reasons Justification And Defeat written by Jessica Brown and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-04-16 with Philosophy categories.

Traditionally, the notion of defeat has been central to epistemology, practical reasoning, and ethics. Within epistemology, it is standardly assumed that a subject who knows that p, or justifiably believes that p, can lose this knowledge or justified belief by acquiring a so-called 'defeater', whether that is evidence that not-p, evidence that the process that produced her belief is unreliable, or evidence that she has likely misevaluated her own evidence. Within ethics and practical reasoning, it is widely accepted that a subject may initially have a reason to do something although this reason is later defeated by her acquisition of further information. However, the traditional conception of defeat has recently come under attack. Some have argued that the notion of defeat is problematically motivated; others that defeat is hard to accommodate within externalist or naturalistic accounts of knowledge or justification; and still others that the intuitions that support defeat can be explained in other ways. This volume presents new work re-examining the very notion of defeat, and its place in epistemology and in normativity theory at large.

Dreaming in Silence is the reality the vast majority of the human population lives in; the constant struggle that we face internally, as we desire to have more within the confines of our minds while we struggle to manifest that which we want outwardly. Far too many of us are reserved for dreaming within our minds, not taking action to outwardly create the circumstances we want to show in our existence. It is only when we take those inner desires, apply strategy and action, adding faith and belief, and continue the process daily, only then can we grow to realize our inner goals. Dreaming in Silence is a testament to the inner fire that burns within all of us, it is an acknowledgment of our collective desire to establish our dreams. By using personal failures, defeats, setbacks, and any other hindrance to progress, Dreaming in Silence is proof that it is possible to live our dreams by finding the right combination for unlocking the Master Lock.
