Seminar paper from the year 2011 in the subject Pedagogy - School System, Educational and School Politics, grade: A, ( Atlantic International University ) (School of Human and Social Studies), course: Education and Law, language: English, abstract: For many of education managers the phrase “law” immediately becomes an incomprehensible maze of acts, administrative policies and judicial decisions. Every situation that arises in a school is governed by laws, rules and regulations, and every educators needs to be familiar with these and respect the rights and responsibilities of all interested parties. Every education manager and educators also be familiar with and understand education law so that they can use it to enhance learning and teaching. An understanding of the legal framework starts with an understanding of what it meant by the notion of “law”. This concept forms part of the daily life of every person in all nations in the world. In many aspects of education, like legal issues that govern students, it can be said that it is the law that provides the best means that should be used in disciplining students. With this regard therefore, the law and regulatory issues dictate either in individual school or in all schools what is the best method of disciplining them Lines. In the early days, the management of education and more specifically schools in many countries was in the hands of the state government. This shows that the government at federal or regional level was responsible in determining educational funding, methods of disciplining teachers and students, and accreditation in schools. Whatever the case may be, in order to achieve the intended goal of education policy and plan of the country all individuals in a school should have freedom of speech but this is not what is happening in most countries as school administrators usually restricts students’ freedom of speech. It is of paramount importance that all educators and policy formulators should pay much attention to the law concerning education in order to make sure that the law is not bent in the process of providing education to citizens.

Learning Legislation And Regulation written by Steven Huefner and has been published by West Academic Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-05-14 with categories.

Learning Legislation and Regulation is an accessible introduction to the study of how legislatures and regulatory agencies in the United States make law, and the interplay between those lawmaking institutions and the U.S. judicial system. It is designed for first-year law students but is appropriate for any introductory course about the lawmaking processes of representative government. The book provides a rich sense of the complex and evolving relationships between the three branches of American government - Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. It is structured around a series of realistic and engaging problems involving statutes and regulations that invite readers to apply statutory provisions or regulations to a set of facts on their own, before exploring how courts or agencies treated those same or similar problems. Throughout the book, the authors have embedded notes, comments, and questions that enrich and reinforce the principal text in user-friendly ways. The book provides a complete introduction to the fundamentals of what lawyers need to know about statutory interpretation by agencies and courts, how agencies promulgate regulations, and the law of the political process, including how elected representatives are elected and how agencies are organized, in order to consider the impact of these structural arrangements on how government officials perform their lawmaking functions.

Designing Effective Legislation written by Maria Mousmouti and has been published by Edward Elgar Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019 with Law categories.

What is effective legislation? Is it a matter of intuition, luck or the result of evidence based law making? Can it be consciously ‘engineered’? This book advances the novel idea that legislative effectiveness is the result of complex ‘mechanics’ in the conceptualisation, design and drafting of four elements inherent in every law: purpose, content, context and results. It concludes that effectiveness can be achieved with conceptual and methodological insights that guide the specific choices of lawmakers when designing and drafting legislation.

The studies contained in this volume present a sampling of policy and legislation relating to adult learning in various parts of the world. They were produced in the context of a more complete survey, under the auspices of the UNESCO Institute for Education (VIE) in cooperation with the University of Florence, which sought to identify tendencies in this field over the past few years. The international research project, under which these national studies were made, was developed under the direction of Paul Belanger, Director of UIE, and Paolo Federighi, Professor at the University of Florence. An international publication by the two project directors, due to appear at the beginning of 1997, will report on the findings of the project, which involves 26 countries. The contributions presented here reflect a broad geographical spectrum as well as a wide range of policy models. From an analysis of these studies, it is apparent that this is a field in which there has been much innovation and which encompasses markedly varying approaches in response to different national conditions.
