Questo libro raccoglie in maniera sistematizzata le linee guida e le procedure di servizio sociale professionale, vale a dire le indicazioni operative che gli assistenti sociali, impegnati nel lavoro sul campo a diretto contatto con l’utenza, seguono in ottemperanza alle leggi di settore, agli orientamenti dell’ente per cui lavorano, ai regolamenti di servizio. I contenuti sono organizzati attorno ai diversi tipi di utenza di cui si occupa il servizio sociale professionale: persone con difficoltà di reddito e di alloggio, anziani non autosufficienti, persone con disabilità, persone con difficoltà legate ai rapporti di coppia, famiglie in cui vi sono difficoltà genitoriali, minorenni interessati da provvedimenti di tutela, minorenni sottoposti a procedimento penale, persone con problemi di dipendenza, persone con problemi di salute mentale, persone sottoposte a misure penitenziarie, persone con difficoltà legate all’immigrazione. Ciascun capitolo riporta, per ogni area di utenza: - alcune più specifiche informazioni di contesto; - le fasi essenziali del processo di aiuto, declinate in rapporto al tipo di problematica; - la descrizione delle varie prestazioni legate a quel tipo di problema, con l’indicazione del procedimento che segue l’assistente sociale per attivarle, monitorarne la realizzazione e verificarne gli esiti. Il libro è rivolto principalmente agli studenti delle Lauree triennali in Servizio sociale, ma può risultare una comoda base di consultazione anche per gli assistenti sociali già sul campo che vogliono, ad esempio, farsi un’idea del lavoro relativo ad aree di utenza diverse da quelle con cui operano abitualmente. Il volume può servire anche agli operatori che si trovano a collaborare con gli assistenti sociali e necessitano quindi di conoscerne le funzioni nei vari ambiti di intervento: ad esempio gli educatori professionali, gli psicologi, gli avvocati, i magistrati, il personale sanitario. Questa seconda edizione comprende anche gli aggiornamenti intervenuti in materia di diritto di famiglia, trattamento penale e penitenziario e indice della situazione economica equivalente.
