The articles included in this collection cover a wide range of literatures and topics, but most of them address the ways in which ethnic writers create themselves in opposition and resistance to the mainstream. Yo decidí vivir y no morir joven. Tú también tienes la misma opción. Los humanos tenemos un deseo innato de continuar viviendo, incluso cuando enfrentamos retos increíbles. Usé mi deseo de propulsar mi determinación de vencer esta enfermedad. Y tú también puedes. Conoce lo que hice, y cómo lo hice. El propósito de este libro es el de compartir experiencias con otras personas las cosas exactas que hice, y cómo las hice. Enciende una llama en tu interior y usa esa llama para hacer algo positivo. ¡Hoy en día, mis Doctores están sorprendidos al descubrir que tengo el hígado de un veinteañero!
