La presente es una colección de canciones infantiles, rondas, juegos, canciones tradicionales colombianas, canciones tradicionales de otros países y música de compositores reconocidos que continúa la ya iniciada en la Antología Kodály Colombiana (Editorial Javeriana 2009) como componente fundamental del proyecto El Método Kodály en Colombia. Si bien la recopilación y clasificación realizadas en la primera antología fueron suficientes para plantear la propuesta inicial de adaptación del método, se necesitaba, y se necesita aún, un grupo mucho mayor de canciones, rimas, rondas y juegos tradicionales para enriquecer la secuencia de desarrollo coral, desarrollo rítmico y desarrollo melódico planteadas en la propuesta pedagógica de El Método Kodàly en Colombia. La presente colección da un paso importante en esta dirección y su utilización en la práctica pedagógica ha planteado nuevos retos, nuevas soluciones, adaptaciones y concesiones que el método original húngaro debe hacer a su adaptación en Colombia y, quizás, en Hispanoamérica.
