Ketahanan pangan dalam rumah tangga nelayan tidak dapat dipisahkan dengan kegiatan produksi, curahan kerja, pendapatan dan pengeluaran dalam rumah tangga nelayan yang merupakan satu kesatuan yang saling terkait. Oleh karena itu setiap terjadi perubahan sosial, ekonomi dan kebijakan akan berpengaruh terhadap keseluruhan perilaku ekonomi dan ketahanan pangan rumah tangga nelayan. Model ekonomi rumah tangga nelayan dibangun dalam bentuk model ekonometrika dengan persamaan simultan, mengacu pada model ekonomi rumah tangga pertanian dan mengitegrasikan aspek ketahanan pangan rumah tangga. Responden ditentukan pada nelayan juragan skala kecil dengan total sampel 80 unit rumahtangga. Estimasi model ekonomi rumah tangga nelayan menggunakan metode two Stage Least Square (2LSLS). Simulasi kebijakan dan nonkebijakan antara lain (1) perubahan harga ikan (2) bantuan teknologi penangkapan (3) kenaikan biaya operasional melaut (3) kenaikan harga kebutuhan pokok (4) perubahan anggota keluarga (5) subsidi pendidikan dan kesehatan (6) penambahan curahan kerja non fishing suami dan istri (7) simulasi ganda.

Kekayaan sumber alam yang melimpah di negara Indonesia dirangkaikan pada Bab 5 dalam penguatan ketahanan pangan nasional secara independen. Keanekargaman hayati mendukung uraian pada Bab 3 dan 4 membahas swasembada pangan sektor pangan sebagai upaya kemandirian pangan dan potensi nutrisi sapi lokal dan teknologi terkait stabilitas kualitas nutrisi daging sapi, dalam mendukung program pemerintah untuk peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat. Untuk meningkatkan kesehatan masyarakat tersebut, di Bab 6 dan 7 dibahas terkait pola makan dan pola hidup sehat dengan mengatur nutrisi yang ideal dengan manajemen yang benar dan pengaruhnya dalam pengontrolan Kesehatan secara holistik atau menyeluruh dengan benar. Personal diet sangat penting untuk menjaga Kesehatan secara individu dan tepat sasaran. Dan pada bab terkahir (Bab 8) disampaikan implementasi keselaman dan kesehatan kerja pada ketahanan pangan dan nutrisi sehat. Pada bab ini masyarakat diharapkan dapat memahami terkait K3 ini dalam mendukung terciptanya ketahanan pangan yang tepat dan menciptakan masyarakat yang sehat yang berkesinambungan.

This document contains the report of the of fish loss assessment case studies conducted within the framework of the FAO Save Food Programme and coordinated by the Fish Products, Trade and Marketing Branch (FIAM). Following the capacity development workshop of national loss assessment team members, held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 29-30 September 2014, four post-harvest fish loss assessment studies were conducted between October 2014 and September 2015. Muara Angke was the first case study, which combined capacity building of the research team with application of the loss assessment process to familiarize with the tools that were subsequently applied to wider fishing locations in Java: gillnet fisheries in Tegal, Central Java; gillnet fisheries Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, and small pelagic processed fish in Brondong, East Java.

Agricultural Involution: The Processes of Ecological Change in Indonesia is one of the most famous of the early works of Clifford Geertz. It principal thesis is that many centuries of intensifying wet-rice cultivation in Indonesia had produced greater social complexity without significant technological or political change, a process Geertz terms "involution". Written for a US-funded project on the local developments and following the modernization theory of Walt Whitman Rostow, Geertz examines in this book the agricultural system in Indonesia and its two dominant forms of agriculture, swidden and sawah. In addition to researching its agricultural systems, the book turns to an examination of their historical development. Of particular note is Geertz's discussion of what he famously describes as the process of "agricultural involution" in Java, where both the external economic demands of the Dutch rulers and the internal pressures due to population growth led to intensification rather than change.
