Multiple Forcing written by Thomas J. Jech and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1986 with Mathematics categories.
In this 1987 text Professor Jech gives a unified treatment of the various forcing methods used in set theory, and presents their important applications. Product forcing, iterated forcing and proper forcing have proved powerful tools when studying the foundations of mathematics, for instance in consistency proofs. The book is based on graduate courses though some results are also included, making the book attractive to set theorists and logicians.

Multi Component Force Sensing Systems written by Qiaokang Liang and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-02-28 with Science categories.
Multi-Component Force Sensing Systems focuses on the design, development, decoupling, and applications of multi-component force sensing systems. Force and moment information can be used as feedback to form an automatic control system to accomplish efficient manipulation. The origins of force measurement and control can be traced back to the late 1970s. Since then, multi-component F/M (force/moment) sensing systems have been widely known and intensively studied. In the past few years, force measurement practices have been significantly affected by new tools (such as digital force gauges, virtual instrumentation, high speed data acquisition systems, etc.) as well as sophisticated measurement methods such as mechano-magnetic, mechano-optical, etc. However, this is the first book to provide an overview of the topic. It will be a useful reference for students in physics and engineering working with robotic sensing systems and robotic systems, in addition to researchers and those working within industry. This work was supported in part by the National Nature Science Foundation of China (NSFC 62073129 and 61673163). Features: • Explores the development of force/torque sensing systems • Provides real applications of the multi-component force/torque sensing systems • Contains executable code for decoupling algorithms About the Author: Qiaokang Liang is an Associate Professor with the College of Electrical and Information Engineering, Hunan University. He is currently the vice director of the Hunan Key Laboratory of Intelligent Robot Technology in Electronic Manufacturing and serving as the assistant director of the National Engineering Laboratory for Robot Vision Perception and Control. He received his Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 2011. His research interests include robotics and mechatronics, biomimetic sensing, advanced robot technology, and human–computer interaction.

Systems Analysis And Simulation In Ecology written by Bernard C. Patten and has been published by Elsevier this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-09-17 with Science categories.
Systems Analysis and Simulation in Ecology, Volume II, concludes the original concept for Systems Analysis and Simulation in Ecology, and at the same time initiates a continuing series under the same title. The original idea, in 1968, was to draw together a collection of systems ecology articles as a convenient benchmark to the state of this emerging new field and as a stimulus to broader interest. These purposes will continue to motivate the series in highlighting, from time to time, accomplishments, trends, and prospects. The present volume is organized into four parts. Part I outlines for ecologists the concepts upon which systems science as a discipline is built. Part II presents example applications of systems analysis methods to ecosystems. Part III is devoted to new theory, including an investigation into the feasibility of several nonlinear formulations for use in compartment modeling of ecosystems; and the important topic of connectivity in systems. Part IV presents a sampling of systems ecology applications. It provides a reasonably balanced and accurate picture of the practical capability of ecological systems analysis and simulation. Performance does not come up to publicity, but prospects for rapid improvement are good given a willingness to let pragmatism guide sound scientific development without demanding unrealistic short-term successes.

Engineering Vibroacoustic Analysis written by Stephen A. Hambric and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-05-02 with Technology & Engineering categories.
The book describes analytical methods (based primarily on classical modal synthesis), the Finite Element Method (FEM), Boundary Element Method (BEM), Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA), Energy Finite Element Analysis (EFEA), Hybrid Methods (FEM-SEA and Transfer Path Analysis), and Wave-Based Methods. The book also includes procedures for designing noise and vibration control treatments, optimizing structures for reduced vibration and noise, and estimating the uncertainties in analysis results. Written by several well-known authors, each chapter includes theoretical formulations, along with practical applications to actual structural-acoustic systems. Readers will learn how to use vibroacoustic analysis methods in product design and development; how to perform transient, frequency (deterministic and random), and statistical vibroacoustic analyses; and how to choose appropriate structural and acoustic computational methods for their applications. The book can be used as a general reference for practicing engineers, or as a text for a technical short course or graduate course.

Computational Neurology And Psychiatry written by Péter Érdi and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-01-25 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book presents the latest research in computational methods for modeling and simulating brain disorders. In particular, it shows how mathematical models can be used to study the relationship between a given disorder and the specific brain structure associated with that disorder. It also describes the emerging field of computational psychiatry, including the study of pathological behavior due to impaired functional connectivity, pathophysiological activity, and/or aberrant decision-making. Further, it discusses the data analysis techniques that will be required to analyze the increasing amount of data being generated about the brain. Lastly, the book offers some tips on the application of computational models in the field of quantitative systems pharmacology. Mainly written for computational scientists eager to discover new application fields for their model, this book also benefits neurologists and psychiatrists wanting to learn about new methods.

Conservation Medicine written by A. Alonso Aguirre and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2002-09-26 with Medical categories.
Conservation medicine is an emerging discipline, focussing on the intersection of ecosystem health, animal health, and human health. Work in the biomedical and veterinary sciences is now being folded into conservation biology; to explore the connections between animal and human health; trace the environmental sources of pathogens and pollutants; develop an understanding of the ecological causes of changes in human and animal health; and understand the consequences of diseases to populations and ecological communities. Conservation Medicine defines this new discipline. It examines ecological health issues from various standpoints, including the emergence and resurgence of infectious disease agents; the increasing impacts of toxic chemicals and hazardous substances; and the health implications of habitat fragmentation and degradation and loss of biodiversity. It will provide a framework to examine the connections between the health of the planet and the health of all species and challenge practitioners and students in the health sciences and natural sciences to think about new, collaborative ways to address ecological health concerns.
