A ambição destes eventosfoi justamente esta: investigar em que sentido a obra de Alberti pode-nosajudar a pensar o mundo de hoje, nos dois lados do Atlântico, seja a partirdos textos escritos que concebeu, seja pe¬las obras que deixou como, ainda,pela realização de uma vida ativa e interventiva no quadro do primeiroRenascimento italiano, principalmente se tivermos em conta como os estudoshumanísticos são entendidos atualmente.
