Emerging Carbon Nanomaterials For Sustainable Agricultural Practices written by Azamal Husen and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-02-01 with Technology & Engineering categories.
The potential use of carbon-based nanomaterials in overall plant systems has not yet received much research, and the results that have been reported are typically descriptive and inconsistent with little knowledge of the underlying mechanisms of action. Changes in gene expression and enhanced ROS production are among the physiological processes that may be impacted by interactions with carbon nanomaterials. They penetrate plant cells, are readily taken up by plants, and then influence the key events of plants such as seed germination, seedling growth, root formation, photosynthesis, flowering, yield, and overall performance. Moreover, in terms of soil quality, carbon nanomaterials have the capacity to influence the health status of agricultural soils, and thus, increase sustainable agriculture practices. Currently, plant disease management depends mainly on toxic pesticides that are potentially harmful to humans and the environment. These particles have enabled their use as bactericides, fungicides, and nanofertilizers. Carbon nanomaterials, however, which may be helpful in plant nucleic acid delivery, pesticide and fertilizer application, wastewater treatment, eradication of pathogen-induced plant illnesses, and detection of significant plant molecules, are the subject of this book. The use of carbon nanoparticles in tissue culture medium and plant growth performance has also been examined. The so-called ‘safe-by-design’ strategy for a guided design of nanomaterials without harmful environmental side effects requires knowledge of the special structural properties of particles that determine the deleterious impacts on living beings. Accordingly, the environmental safety, and ethical issues related to the use of carbon nanomaterials in agricultural sectors have been also explored. Overall, the book in hand provides an extensive, important, and selected topic related to carbon nanomaterials in agricultural sectors. This book provides valuable information to scientists, researchers, and students, working especially on agricultural science, plant science, plant pathology, plant biology, plant nanobiotechnology, plant biochemistry, soil microbiology, and other allied subjects.

Plant Biostimulation With Nanomaterials written by Antonio Juárez-Maldonado and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-05-31 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book covers the topic of biostimulation of crops using nanomaterials to increase crop production and quality improvement, accompanied by the reduction of environmental impact in the form of less use of pesticides and greater efficiency in the use of fertilizers and water. Different classes of biostimulants have been recognized and studied, but nanomaterials are among the most recently considered with a dual category of biostimulation-inducing physical and chemical agents. The physical process of biostimulation occurs through interactions at the interfaces of the nanomaterial corona and cell walls and membranes. In contrast, the chemical process depends on the corona and core composition. The chapters in this book present the different topics of biostimulation with nanomaterials with the consideration of different spheres of organization, from the molecular view to agricultural ecosystems. It looks at the interactions between nanomaterials and plant cells that differ depending on the corona's size, shape, specific surface, and composition, in addition to the dynamic biological contexts of development and interaction with other environmental factors. The book caters to researchers and scientists who are interested in the biostimulation of crops using nanomaterials and their long-term ecological impact.

Nanofertilizer Synthesis Methods And Types written by Kamel A Abd-Elsalam and has been published by Elsevier this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-02-29 with Technology & Engineering categories.
Nano-Fertilizer Synthesis and Types discusses the production of a variety of nano-fertilizers, including biological, chemical, and mechanical types. Nano-fertilizers aid in nutrition control by increasing nutrient consumption efficiency as nutrients are bonded to nano-dimensional adsorbents, which in turn release nutrients considerably more slowly than traditional fertilizers. As the nano-fertilizer sector advances, one approach is to concentrate on macro elements (N, P, K), as switching to nano-fertilizers may result in significant environmental benefits by replacing the majority of these nutrients. Furthermore, the biosynthesis of nanomaterials employing bacteria, algae, yeast, fungus, actinomycetes, and plants has opened up a new field of study for the creation of inorganic nanoparticles as environmentally benign fertilizers. Because of the several-fold increase in the surface-to-volume ratio of nano-forms of nutrients, and their appropriateness for foliar application, where environmental losses are further decreased, nano-fertilizers may achieve higher efficiency. However, before nano-fertilizers are manufactured and commercialized, further research should be conducted to assess their impact for both humans and the environment. While there are some nano-fertilizer products available, the nano-fertilizer production industry still requires additional public and private sector support and development. Nano-Fertilizers Synthesis and Types presents the latest information, highlights the benefits and impacts of each, and provides a single-volume resource to help effectively and efficiently identify options based on use-case. Exploring the topic from the various mechanistic types to the relevant regulatory, safety, and economic aspects, this volume will be appropriate for those working with and researching new nano-fertilizers. - Guides in the identification of appropriate nano-fertilizer options based on use-case - Addresses both target plant and environmental considerations - Includes economic and regulatory insights
