FC 1-300-09N 1 May 2014 Includes Change 4, 14 Jun 2018 This FC provides specific guidance on how and when to provide a project design deliverable for NAVFAC. This document is organized into design deliverables and design phases. Requirements for design deliverables, beyond or in more detail of what is already required by a Core UFC, are provided for NAVFAC-only. The requirements for when or to what extent these deliverables are provided are in the Phase chapters. Includes a list of applicable NIST cybersecurity publications for consideration. Why buy a book you can download for free? First you gotta find it and make sure it's the latest version (not always easy). Then you gotta print it using a network printer you share with 100 other people - and its outta paper - and the toner is low (take out the toner cartridge, shake it, then put it back). If it's just 10 pages, no problem, but if it's a 250-page book, you will need to punch 3 holes in all those pages and put it in a 3-ring binder. Takes at least an hour. An engineer that's paid $75 an hour has to do this himself (who has assistant's anymore?). If you are paid more than $10 an hour and use an ink jet printer, buying this book will save you money. It's much more cost-effective to just order the latest version from Amazon.com This book is published by 4th Watch Books and includes copyright material. Technology For The United States Navy And Marine Corps 2000 2035 Becoming A 21st Century Force written by National Research Council and has been published by National Academies Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1997-12-19 with Technology & Engineering categories.

The future national security environment will present the naval forces with operational challenges that can best be met through the development of military capabilities that effectively leverage rapidly advancing technologies in many areas. The panel envisions a world where the naval forces will perform missions in the future similar to those they have historically undertaken. These missions will continue to include sea control, deterrence, power projection, sea lift, and so on. The missions will be accomplished through the use of platforms (ships, submarines, aircraft, and spacecraft), weapons (guns, missiles, bombs, torpedoes, and information), manpower, materiel, tactics, and processes (acquisition, logistics, and so on.). Accordingly, the Panel on Technology attempted to identify those technologies that will be of greatest importance to the future operations of the naval forces and to project trends in their development out to the year 2035. The primary objective of the panel was to determine which are the most critical technologies for the Department of the Navy to pursue to ensure U.S. dominance in future naval operations and to determine the future trends in these technologies and their impact on Navy and Marine Corps superiority. A vision of future naval operations ensued from this effort. These technologies form the base from which products, platforms, weapons, and capabilities are built. By combining multiple technologies with their future attributes, new systems and subsystems can be envisioned. Technology for the United States Navy and Marine Corps, 2000-2035 Becoming a 21st-Century Force:Volume 2: Technology indentifies those technologies that are unique to the naval forces and whose development the Department of the Navy clearly must fund, as well as commercially dominated technologies that the panel believes the Navy and Marine Corps must learn to adapt as quickly as possible to naval applications. Since the development of many of the critical technologies is becoming global in nature, some consideration is given to foreign capabilities and trends as a way to assess potential adversaries' capabilities. Finally, the panel assessed the current state of the science and technology (S&T) establishment and processes within the Department of the Navy and makes recommendations that would improve the efficiency and effectiveness of this vital area. The panel's findings and recommendations are presented in this report.

Design Build Technical Requirements written by Department of Department of Defense and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2005-03 with categories.

The primary intent of this document is to provide instructions for preparing technical specifications contained in a Request for Proposal (RFP). If you like this book (or the Kindle version), please leave positive review. This UFC will ensure that RFP technical specifications for Design-Build (D-B) constructionprojects clearly define program/project requirements, performance attributes, performance factors, submittal procedures, as well as other mandatory requirements such as buildingenvelopes. The Design-Build process can be applied to all types, sizes, and complexities ofprojects. This instruction focuses on the technical preparation of RFP''s issued for D-B projects such as barracks, administration facilities, hangers, pavement, site preparation, and similar projects. Ensure Corps of Engineers'' districts using D-B contracting methods have instituted good requirements in their Design-Build process so that D-B contractors incorporate public laws, executive orders, and mandatory design inputs into the final constructed product. These requirements should ensure all facilities are designed and constructed with the equivalent quality of traditional Corps of Engineers'' constructed facilities. Identify mandatory Federal, technical, regulatory, fire protection, life safety code, and quality requirements that must be included in the RFP technical specifications. Establish a consistency in Corps of Engineers'' prepared Design-Build RFP''s. Provide the Corps of Engineers'' designers with an understanding of theirinvolvement in the D-B process so they can contribute to the corporate approach for D-Bacquisition. Includes a list of applicable NIST cybersecurity publications for consideration. Why buy a book you can download for free?
