Mukhametzyanov and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-07-25 with Business & Economics categories.

This book presents a systematic review of multidimensional normalization methods and addresses problems frequently encountered when using various methods and ways to eliminate them. The invariant properties of the linear normalization methods presented here can be used to eliminate simple problems and avoid obvious errors when choosing a normalization method. The book introduces valuable, novel techniques for the multistep normalization of multidimensional data. One of these methods involves inverting the normalized values of cost attributes into profit attributes based on the reverse sorting algorithm (ReS algorithm). Another approach presented is the IZ method, which addresses the issue of shift in normalized attribute values. Additionally, a new method for normalizing the decision matrix is proposed, called the MS method, which ensures the equalization of average values and variances of attributes. Featuring numerous illustrative examples throughout, the book helps readers to understand what difficulties can arise in multidimensional normalization, what to expect from such problems, and how to solve them. It is intended for academics and professionals in various areas of data science, computing in mathematics, and statistics, as well as decision-making and operations.

Application Of Fluorescence Spectroscopy In Food Quality And Control written by Romdhane Karoui and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2025-07-01 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Though fluorescence is a long-established analytical method, it has only recently gained prominence as a valuable tool in food technology. As a particularly sensitive analytical technique, fluorescence spectroscopy allows for the precise identification of various components (functional, compositional and nutritional) of food products, including contaminants and additives. The introduction of new commercially available instruments for fluorescence analysis, coupled with improvements in time resolution and in the instrumentation of both its hardware and software, have given risen to a sharp increase in the technique’s popularity. Presently, it is a rapidly evolving analytical tool used in determining food product quality and authenticity across the industry. While typically discussed alongside other analytical techniques such as mid infrared, near infrared and Raman, the use of fluorescence spectroscopy in food quality control has not been covered in a dedicated, up-to-date volume in several decades. Application of Fluorescence Spectroscopy in Food Quality is a long overdue and unprecedented guide to fluorescence spectroscopy’s modern application in food quality and safety control. This book covers the fundamentals of the technique, before delving into its application to the quality control of various food products, ranging from vegetable and animal foods to cereals, honey and coffee. Multivariate descriptive and predictive methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis, respectively, will also be discussed. Experts from across the globe provide thorough explanations of fluorescence spectroscopy’s uses, while offering comment on the technique’s main advantages for the industry, as well as its limitations. This book will be invaluable to both those looking for an introduction to fluorescence spectroscopy, as well as those who are familiar with the technique and interested learn more about recent advances in the technology and its individual applications.

Multi Criteria And Multi Dimensional Analysis In Decisions written by Kesra Nermend and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-10-31 with Business & Economics categories.

A new era is emerging in which a group of quantitative methods featuring characteristics of multidimensional comparative analysis (MCA) and multi-criteria decision-making analysis (MCDA) can be used to automate objective decision-making processes. This book introduces the character of the criteria (desirable, non-desirable, motivating, demotivating, and neutral) to MCDA and MCA methods. It presents the author’s own developed methods, the preference vector method (PVM), for solving multi-criteria problems in decision making; and, vector measure construction method (VMCM), which is dedicated to solving typical problems in the field of multidimensional comparative analysis. All methods are explained step by step with relevant examples, primarily in the fields of economics and management.

Finance And Law In The Metaverse World written by Nadia Mansour and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-12-05 with Business & Economics categories.

This edited volume examines the impact of the metaverse on finance and law. As the commercial development of the internet and digital technology has done for more than thirty years, the metaverse phenomenon raises questions about the relevance of existing legal rules in dealing with new practices: between the need for adaptation, evolution, or new rules. While the Blockchain ecosystem has developed steadily over the last few years and its applications are still evolving, can we assume that the metaverse will become "the most prodigious phenomenon of the 21st century"? The term metaverse refers to a virtual world. Technically, using known but evolving technologies, the term refers to a network of 3D virtual worlds. In its current state of development, there is a metaverse and not a single virtual world as there is an internal one, simply because its development is still dependent on proprietary technologies. The development of the metaverse is no less accurate, and a few recent examples suggest that lawyers will not be able to escape this phenomenon, which looks set to involve individuals, companies, and institutions. The financial world is not immune to the emergence of the metaverse either. Traditional finance is moving into new virtual worlds. Several banks and insurance companies are entering this world, far removed from their traditions. Some have even set up branches there. However, what are these financial institutions trying to achieve by entering this market segment? This book addresses these questions with contributions from academics and experts from both fields.

The TOPSIS method is extended with entropy-AHP weights, and entropy-AHP weights are used instead of subjective weights. A novel decision-making model of TOPSIS integrated entropy-AHP weights is proposed to select the appropriate supplier. Finally, we take the selection of building material suppliers as an example and use sensitivity analysis to show that the combination of the TOPSIS method based on entropy-AHP weights can effectively select the appropriate supplier.
